1000s of Mac users can’t

It’s now been 24 hrs after patch and still thousands of Mac users are having to watch their non Mac users enjoy the new content, not able to launch the game without crashes. Not a peep about this on the general board so far…

It’s rough, but as someone who works in tech, this is 100% apple being apple. They are notorious for making stuff that works everywhere else not work on apple.
Wow not being the only game which has this issue I’d call it an apple issue.

Kind of like how when you have 1 pc and 3 monitors and all 3 monitors suddenly stop displaying your computer then its probably not that all 3 monitors broke at the same time but your computer is the issue.

Yeah if you’re a graphics designer.
Hats off to apple tho they do know how to make those functions work.

That’s a lot of money for a facebook/instagram browser.
My 70 euro budget chinese CCP wired smartphone can do that.

I’ve played WOW on Macs since 2005, without any major issues other than the ones the entire player base had to endure

This has nothing to do with macs being unsuitable for gaming. This is a specific issue introduced after this latest patch, seemingly affecting Intel/AMG GPU macs.

Whether you’re a Mac or win fanboy is irrelevant in this situation. Seems to me that corners being cut in their Q&A patch protocols- there have been more in-game glitches too than usual with a new xpansion.

Well, yeah, but there have been other red flags that have indicated this for a long time.
I think some of those 800 dropped included Q&A

I didn’t make my post from the perspective as any fanboy, mac and windows both have their strengths and flaws. I work in the branch, so thats the perspective I’m speaking from.

In general tho because windows is so much more widely used it will always get a first row seat for Q&A, there’s a reason some software development companies straight up refuse to support macbook

Which is why it’s silly.

People will pay an arm and a leg just for a label attached to them. All those people running around in Balenciaga and Supreme clothing for example.

Reason I use Macs is because I started my IT career at Apple in their support dept. Not to wear a label. I hate those… certainly that clothing brand you mentioned. Baal Enci Aga…

Blizzard would send us the beta discs for StarCraft back in the day. Most of the support staff stayed late in the office on Friday evenings to “test” the not yet released game over the office LAN.

Blizz has always been loyal to its Mac base and delivered a quality product on this platform over the years. Which is why this issue is concerning to me besides the inconvenience of not being able play right now. This might be a sign that blizz doesn’t want to support the game on anything other than the new M chipset.
