Do we have any clarification if the current crests are staying or if the flightstone cap is getting increased? And what about the current gear, will it still be upgradable once 10.2 hits servers?

I have ~300 Whelp fragments, what will happen to these? Should I turn them into Crests before the patch?
I’ve about 1,000 Flightstones (hard to spend them when I don’t have any Drake Crests).
Would assume the crests/Flightstones are auto traded in for gold on patch release.

Crafted gear will be upgradeable with the new spark. Other gear will not be.

Blizz are pretty determined for a fresh start each season.
Sadly they have not done that for a while now with inculding vp and hp they are just clean reset with no gold back.
Most likely indeed, just like how they did convert titan residuum and valor as well.

They have always given gold for gear given. Just a nominal amount like 1 gold etc.
Honestly not for the last 4 patches which even surprised me i am 100% sure on this.
PLEASE JUST REMOVE FLIGHTSTONES . i hate them they’re so useless and makes the game way harder to play with multiple alts. REMOVE FLIGHTSTONES AND MAKE CRESTS ACCOUNTWIDE , thank you.
I’m hoping that world quests and Fyrakk Assault quests will award more flightstones. A mere 5-12 flightstones is virtually nothing, and only a single weekly quest from Fyrakk Assaults awards a decent amount, about 100 I believe.

No, current gear will definitly not be upgradeable. they didnt mentioned an increase in flightstones. Fragments are going to be removed tho.

There’s your issue.
You can can easily fix that yourself. 
I think there will be an overal world content gear upscaling, so you’d be using ‘the new stuff’. Not 100% on this though and too lazy to go look it up.
