10.2.6 info

With the overview of this week in WoW, it’s clear that we’re still not getting any news regarding 10.2.6.

I’ve been thinking… What do you think the chances are that Blizzard is going to keep this entire patch off the regular PTR and just do closed testing? That way they can deliver a true surprise patch for once.

Or are they simply holding off on the patch news because they want the news to focus on SoD? If that’s the case, I have to say that I don’t like it. Modern WoW should not be made to ‘suffer’ because of Classic imo.

What do you guys think?

EDIT:

You understand that there are different teams that work on retail and classic right? Retail developers are not sitting on season 4 ready to go and waiting for season of discovery to launch so they can go after them.

As for 10.2.6, it is in their roadmap as late winter just before spring, which means feb/march in corpo quarters. Probably we have more than a month for it to go live, although they might keep it hidden, considering we have NO IDEA what they are planning for it.

Either way, I am glad for a surprise. Kinda sick of data mining, it gets me all excited so early that by the time it’s out I no longer really care.

I believe what Tah means is that they don’t want news about two of their releases to overlap.

It would be a nuce idea to have somethin surprising and unexpected for once.
Sincerley datamining is really annoying.

Yup. Even with PTR testing we get plenty of “surprises” once a patch launches. The devs are always busy fixing them. :stuck_out_tongue:

Regardless, it really is looking like 10.2.6 will not be up for testing before it goes live.

I though hope it’s not another Gilneas  something you’re not going to finish in 15 minutes…

Of course. I’m not implying that retail isn’t being worked on. I’m implying that a patch release on the PTR is being held back to give some room/attention to Classic’s ‘new big thing’.

Yeah, for me it’s a double edged sword. I like seeing new things as they’re datamined, but having stuff spoiled isn’t fun. Finding things out for the first time is fun. Seeing new models and transmog gets me hyped (if they look good), but story and systems and whatnot I want to discover on my own terms.

Indeed.

Agreed.

So yeah… No PTR for 10.2.6, but the season 4 stuff will be on PTR in march after 10.2.6 releases.

I think this just mean no class reworks very soon…
Bad luck for other classes which were not selected by blessing finger.

Poor Affliction (and others) in M+…

I hope they add new class/race combos (paladin, druid and shaman).:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:
