I’ve been thinking… What do you think the chances are that Blizzard is going to keep this entire patch off the regular PTR and just do closed testing? That way they can deliver a true surprise patch for once.
Or are they simply holding off on the patch news because they want the news to focus on SoD? If that’s the case, I have to say that I don’t like it. Modern WoW should not be made to ‘suffer’ because of Classic imo.
You understand that there are different teams that work on retail and classic right? Retail developers are not sitting on season 4 ready to go and waiting for season of discovery to launch so they can go after them.
As for 10.2.6, it is in their roadmap as late winter just before spring, which means feb/march in corpo quarters. Probably we have more than a month for it to go live, although they might keep it hidden, considering we have NO IDEA what they are planning for it.
Of course. I’m not implying that retail isn’t being worked on. I’m implying that a patch release on the PTR is being held back to give some room/attention to Classic’s ‘new big thing’.
Yeah, for me it’s a double edged sword. I like seeing new things as they’re datamined, but having stuff spoiled isn’t fun. Finding things out for the first time is fun. Seeing new models and transmog gets me hyped (if they look good), but story and systems and whatnot I want to discover on my own terms.
