11.0.5 - Ny'alotha Bug Workaround

Hey folks!

As of patch 11.0.5 it appears the final fight N’Zoth is bugged. During the stage where you’re supposed to enter the portal and kill the add to drop N’Zoth’s shield the add is now completely invisible. There’s nothing we can do to prevent this until Blizzard fix this, but I thought I’d share my ‘workaround’ in the hopes in helps folk until they do:

1. Head on in to your interface settings > combat and enable the ‘Mouseover targetting’ option.
2. If you do not already have ‘focus target’ tracked on your minimap, run the following console command to unlock the minimap tracking option for it: /console minimapTrackingShowAll 1 then select ‘focus target’ from the tracking minimap option.
3. Create the following macro: /focus [@mouseover]
4. When you enter the portal, use the above macro on the raid frame for Psychus. This will show their position on the map, as well as their HP and a frame we can target our abilities on using the mouseover combat option.
5. Use the focus minimap icon to get in to range and use the focus frame to target them with spells and they should die as normal.

Fingers crossed Blizzard fix this soon and good luck with farming the mount!

Awesome, this worked for me, although once you have Psychus in focus, it’s easier to use focus targeting rather than mouseover targeting.

If you are using ElvUI, go to /elvui => ActionBars => General => Casting and set the Focust Cast Key there. It might be buggy so uncheck and check again the ‘Check Focus Cast’ checkbox if its not working.

Thanks but this did not work for me. Psychus flashes and disappears immediately. Let’s hope that Blizz fixes this soon.
