so in 11.1 i no longer see lightning bolt, chain lightning, healing spells, etc. procs to be highlightened in the action bar.
Correct, as said in the notes, you now get a different visual when you reach 10 msw charges.
In case you want to have glows on your abilities to replicate the previous behavior, you can recreate that with weak auras.
Hello
If i want to make some weak auras, for what should i create them?
Thanks
Sorry, I did not understand, what do you mean with:
You said “you can recreate the glow with weak auras”.
So my question was:
What should i track with the weak auras, to create a weak aura from scratch?
Oh, the question was referring to creating the weak aura.
Made similar weak auras but not that one in particular, so the following is my assumption of what would work:
- Make some kind of empty weak aura like an empty text one).
- On trigger choose to track aura, buff, maelstrom weapon charges on yourself.
- Create a condition, and when trigger 1 charges are greater/equal to 5, glow external element, show, frame selector, action button glow, frame, action button glow (or any other type of glow).
- Make a second condition, glow external element again.
- if, trigger 1, charges less than 5, then glow external element, hide, frame selector, frame .
That’s pretty much it, only things to remember are that you have triggers to enable and to disable the glow, AFAIK there is no way to make the glow “as long as X” (but I might be wrong, you can search that). Another thing is that you are making certain keybinds glow, so if you want to switch buttons, remember to switch the weak aura.
I understand
Thank you very much for your answer.
I want my highlight back…
It really makes no sense removing this, were people complaining about it or what?
It was getting kind of bad feedback because of visual clutter and being misleading.
Most of the specs when they have an ability glowing meant that they had a proc that mattered and needed to react.
For enhancement that was not the case, since most of the time you ignored the msw glows, since it was on 3 buttons, that most of the time you wanted to press at different times (and not when they glowed).
So yeah, it made sense to remove it, but it seems that the replacement was not good enough (changed ui @ 10 msw). Probably for the people that do not use weak auras, in the next patch it will be better with the buff tracking they are adding.
Why not make it a choice, turn off or on, problem solved, everyone happy !
Because they do not have multiple “choices” depending on what current patch or prio or talent build you have, that would be a really bad allocation of their resources.
They try to update it from time to time to the most up to date priority, and then if you do not like it, you can make your own. This is one of the good changes they did, since it helps players that are starting in the spec.
You legit can disable their glows and create your own that mirror that functionality with weak auras (and I gave a step by step above in this post).
Is ok mate, I use a WA now
The update you just described is expected in 13.1.5 !
Yeah I am not sure what exactly is that update, but I am looking forward to that.
Most of the updates they did are pretty well done, and if they manage to update nameplates and auras, that would be huge for enh.
Hey blizzard. Who asked?
Return my dopamine button flash, how you think I must know that I can spend mael on the instant cast now, from the weakauras? You said million times that you want to make base UI as standalone without addons as possible. And you do this. Just amazing, fire your testers or who give you idea to take information from players and a part of a shaman identity.
I’m literally don’t want to play my enh now, just because it forces me to use weakaura, when I was fine without it for months. Great job.
Have you turned spell alert opacity to 0 or something?
There is a spell alert literally flashing on top of your character showing you when you have 1-5 MSW and 10. How can you not know if you can instant cast your spells?
Dude, there are a lot more people that want the flash back, than not. You can explain this as much as you want, but most players do not agree with this change…
Yes, “most people”.
Meanwhile, 1 month in, biggest thread is 18 replies for the issue, and no one cares about it outside this forum.
I wouldn’t hold my breath about it coming back.
