11.2 Concerns About Patch 11.2 Gearing Changes for PvP in World of Warcraft Dear Blizzard Team,

Dear Blizzard Team,
I’m reaching out to express my growing frustration with the gearing changes introduced in Patch 11.2 for World of Warcraft: The War Within. After 14 years of navigating a gearing system that often felt unrewarding for PvP players, Patch 11.1 finally delivered a system that felt balanced and engaging. It allowed PvP enthusiasts like myself to jump into the action, compete, and progress without excessive PvE grinding. This was a massive step forward, and it felt like the game had finally found its stride for PvP-focused players.
However, with Patch 11.2, it seems we’ve taken a step backward. The return to a less rewarding Great Vault and what feels like a forced PvE grind has left me disheartened. I’ve heard rumors that optimal PvP gear, including tier set bonuses, now requires participation in Delves or other PvE activities. If true, this shift undermines the progress made in 11.1, locking PvP players into content that doesn’t align with our preferred playstyle. Forcing PvP players to grind Delves or other PvE content to remain competitive feels like a regression to the “trash” systems of the past, where PvP was an afterthought.
Can you clarify whether Delves are indeed mandatory for obtaining optimal PvP gear, such as tier set bonuses? If these rumors are false, I’d be happy to retract my concerns and dive back into the game with enthusiasm. But if this is the direction moving forward, I’m worried it will alienate players like me who were thrilled to finally have a PvP-focused gearing path. I want nothing more than to log in and enjoy PvP as we did last season, without being bogged down by PvE requirements.
Please consider the impact of these changes on the PvP community. We’ve waited years for a system that respects our time and playstyle, and 11.1 was a shining example of that. I hope you can address these concerns or provide clarity to restore confidence in the direction of the game.
Sincerely,

Been too a pvp enjoyer and played for almost 20 years on and off… just came back last expansion and how my god pvp has become a circus… between unbalanced specs and overturned abilities you become dead in less than 4 GCD (tried once with full pvp gear and capped on conquest and on three occasions the same pally killed me in litterally 4 abilities)…
Plus the healings are just insane and that is not new… harder to kill a healer than a tank, insane nowadays.
I totally agree with you on the gearing process got 3 723 ilvl pve gears that are BIS for me but I decide not to use them and stay with my honor instead.

They should put back the Resilience stat for pvp gear with the base resilience at 40% as it used to be back in the days. This way people will have to get pvp gear and ONLY pvp gear. That stat should not be instaed of over secondary stat (i.e. if a pve gear has mastery and haste one it, the pvp equivalent would have mastery, haste AND Resilliance).
Another thing would be to tune down dramatically the overtuned abilities… The idea that a skilled player may win vs 2 newbies… As it stands, it is impossible (a ret would wake of ashes, hammer of light you and you loose 50% of your hp… he bubbles, any will do, then 2 blades of justice, 1 jugement and another hammer of light and you dead… time spent max 6-8 seconds).
And healing should be reviewed seriously… maybe reduced in general or on self when healers…
I dont’ understand they have a really nice platform and they could make pvp the most valuable asset before Raids and dungeons, but no…
And also maybe stopping the epic 40vs40 bgs as more than half of players get less than 10fps on big fights or have to lower quality to a 1995 graphic quality level. And I have a 2.5 K euros gaming pc…

So there was my rant, sorry. To sum up give PVP proper specialized gear and seriously work on balancing and gameplay mechanics
