11.2 will decide wow's fate

Based on what I’ve seen and read and the changes made to war within (which was already in place) my guess is 11.2 is Metzen’s new story.

If I am right, we will now truly see what we are getting for the next few years story and game wise.

Would like to know everyone else’s opinions.

no he is from midnight onwards from what i recall from blizzcon as TWW was mostly under wraps by the time he came back.

War within ending has been changed, he would have to change it to lead into midnight with 11.2

source as they would not change that far in to alpha testing

tww/midnight/titains are part of a 3 story long arc

There are plenty of interviews and what are the odds that the ending or war within matches up with his new story of midnight .

like i said they are part of a trio :grimacing: and TWW was in production long before he came back please understand what i am writing ty

Midnight and last Titan are new stories he created when he came back, the war within was going to be the end of the story.

No it was not , it is part 1 of a 3 story long arch he annoucned it in blizzcon

hence the …

WORLDSOUL SAGA

jesus at least back up with some facts mate

Oh insults now when i have linked actual blizzcon if you can not be civil do not post , flagged you and face facts pls or link actual facts yourself.

okay if war within was already in place when he came back as ‘he stated’, that means they also had Midnight and Titan stories in place to make it a trilogy as you stated, which would mean he didn’t create the trilogy. .

Brief Summary:

  • Metzen came back to a team “much more democratized” in Dragonflight than when he left, and had to find his place in the new dynamic compared to before, and listening to the instincts rather than having as large a voice

  • They’re already mapping out patch 13.1 and 13.2 and how they’ll play out

  • Also already talking about the concepts for expansions up to 17

  • Goal for characters in the saga is to age the existing characters up, not age characters out of the story, and also to make sure the new ones introduced aren’t just one-offs who we leave behind.

  • Lot of talk about writing from a place of passion, and accepting that critique will happen, but also that someone will be personally affected by those themes they’re putting into the story.

  • Metzen doesn’t see his job as creative lead as pouring his own personal experiences into the story, but enabling the team as a whole to breathe a whole array of experiences into cohesive stories

  • When trying to writing the stakes, the biggest way to up the stakes is to either blow up a planet or kill off a character, and with doing the latter they want to make sure they frame it with gravity rather than shock value (Tirion was mentioned)

  • Metzen loves all the flavors of new races added since he left, even the ones he didn’t expect to like such as Vulpera (he has one he dresses like Robin Hood)

  • He loves having as many options as possible to allow for maximum player agency

  • Shaping the whole three expac arc is a first for them, the team has never done that before

  • He wants people to remember that it’s a part one of a larger narrative, and that things will rise differently in the narrative than previous xpacs

  • The resolution for the Sword of Sargeras will not happen until The Last Titan and its tease in the TWW cinematic was intended as a full arc story

  • Xal’atath isn’t like a Deathwing where we defeat her at the end of TWW and she’s one-and-done, we’ll be confronting her multiple times over the arc of the saga

  • We shouldn’t expect “the full meal” in TWW, and to expect the story to continue over the full saga to feel fitting as a “perfect crescendo” to 20 years of storytelling for the anniversary

  • He said “you are not prepared for that moment” for the resolution to the Sword which seems like a possible Illidan tease.

not hard to find actual facts and info.

You are actually correct. This makes me very excited and very worried for next raid tier

if they had all three planned then why have him come back and change the story.

pls for the love of all things good read pls

that doesn’t say why they need him to change the story

The big feet void elf reminds me of the chasing of guldan, which lastet 2 expansions. Maybe though she is gonna be streched to 3 expansions.
