If you are going to use housing as your major “feature” of a patch for an expansion i have already paid for and pay a subscription for please don’t place it behind a paywall. Shady business model. How about some actual content for TWW instead of upselling?
which paywall? midnight purchase?
Yes? I still don’t know if want to buy/play it yet.
In thepry bein a midnight content they put it behind the paywall for this reason. BUT ive read somewehere there is the possibility to check housing without md purchasing doin some activities.
But sincerely im not sure if is true. maybe wowhead could give some hint
they don’t put housing in TWW, its a feature for the Midnight expansion, rn we will play it but for BETA which means we get early access if we pre-order the next expansion. Housing it is and was marketing as such for Midnight. There were never any ads for housing in TWW… idk why you insinuate they use housing as a patch for TWW… and it is fine if you don’t want to buy it yet, but it when you ready, you ain’t gonna miss much, rn we are the guinea pigs testing house and town system bcz for some reason, blizzard won’t use a testing team as it was back in the old days… why pay salary for people to test your game when there is enough dumb people ( me included aswell ) to buy the “beta”, get the bag of money and use us as the old beta test teams…
If uou will buy the Midnight when it will release mext year, you will get to have your own house, if you want to beta test this new features then pay up. Simple as it is, stop trying insinuate things which there were never true in the firs place![]()
When you log to the game there’s a huge popup ad that says housing is here.
xd
you already can access it starting today if you pre ordered midnight .
11.2.7 is a minor patch it is not supposed to have big content. You will survive this. Before the Midnight prepatch we can’t expect anything really.
You pay a subscription to get access to WoW as a game in general without the current expansion, you paid for the expansion to also get access to the recent zones which you got.
Housing was clearly communicated a Midnight feature, the next expansion, it was never said that you could access all its features in the War Within. 11.2.7 is a transition patch where you get both War Within end-content that leads the story into Midnight, and certain Midnight early features like housing, which won’t be accesible if you don’t have that expansion too.
And it’s not the major feature of the patch, you consider it so, but when I look at patch notes the patch is called “Midnight Prologue: The Warning”, not “The Housing Patch”, some of us don’t even care about housing, and there’s plenty of things in this patch that have nothing to do with it - continuing the story, pandaren heritage, Turbulent Timeways with Shadowlands timewalking dungeons introduced, Brawler’s Guild.
If you are going to complain about paywalls make sure you know exactly what you pay for and what is being advertised for which expansion, you see an issue here where there is none.
They let ppl go pick spots for their houses before others if they pre-order. Which is advantage if theres limited amount of neighbourhoods and then limited amount of good spots people would want but not all will get. That’s predatory marketing.
Ppl can have my spot, I wont buy it till its launching and I see the finalized version, I might skip whole housing aswell now seeing how they played it out. Rushing ppl with predatory marketing to buy pre-order even when the game is still bound to change multiple times.
There is no telling yet of the changes in UI or changes to our classes, everything is still bound to have changes, there is no hurry on pre-ordering it yet.
Youre not used to beta test something, youre buying it to have headstart in securing land what others later wont have equal chances to obtain. That wouldnt make it service to others. It’s more of buying right to something before others.
3/6 of the advertised things for the patch are nothing to do with TWW and 2 require you to buy Midnight. Where is the TWW content?

Like i said, nothing of value for those still paying and playing the patch.
“Midnight (PROLOGUE) campaign. Nearly every expansion in existence of WoW if not every single one has had the next expansion “prologued” in some way.
Lorewalking Elves Campaign. Continuing from the previous Lorewalking campaigns that were brought in the last major patch.
Pandaren Heritage Armor. Continuing heritage armours brought in previous expansions.
Turbulent Timeways. Guess what…
Brawler’s Guild.. Guess what again…
If you have a carrot up your nose about Midnight pre purchase so be it but don’t be so obviously obtuse and frankly a big bubbly bairn about it next time.
lol… Dear god. You’re the kind of person who is handed a winning lottery ticket and refuses it because you think you should earn your money the hard way in a coal mine with just a candle sellotaped to your head.
You don’t like the content so there is no content. Gotcha.
I mean should i be the only one who is annoyed that a billion dollar company cant provide more than a few quests or recycled older quests as content for a patch? Am I the insane one?
We’re talking about minor patch here tho, 11.2.7, so we can’t exactly expect them to ship major content patch amount of content.
It’s just meant to be something lil to do while development resources are sacrificed for Midnight.
And that’s my point, half of it is behind the pay wall of buying Midnight…
Feels a bit stretch, given how in the above screenshot, 6 out of 8 content drops are available without purchase of Midnight itself.
Given how Blizzard can’t even afford to fix critical campaign blocking Quests on live version, some would be happy to have some new content to play through during the wait for Midnight rather than nothing.
