are you telling me that you only use 1,2,3 with alt, ctrl, mouse wheel and clicks?
What? I just described what I use wheel for.
aaaaaa ok lol x.x My brain was all confused
1,2,3 from keyboard have some abilities on them. 123 is term used for arena target 1, 2, 3. I use wheel to setup macros for them like clone/poly/fear and mouses wheels tend to stop register scrolls in half year - year sadly. So I said would be nice find product which wheel was known last.
I use the Steelseries Aerox 9. In general, I love it. Itâs sensitive, sensitivity is programmable, and itâs highly configurable through the engine software. My only gripe, and itâs a big one considering why I bought it, is the ergonomics of the thumb buttons. I feel like some are a bitt too much of a stretch (10,11,12) whereas others (2) are a bit too small for my big hands as itâs too easy to press more than one button. However, I just avoid some of the buttons, so itâs not a problem, and overall I really like it.
I used to use the Steelseries Rival 500 MMO mouse, and absolutely loved it. Definitely the best mouse Iâve ever used for MMOâs. Iâm pretty sure they stopped making it though.
Should have also said, the Steelseries software seems really robust. It covers my keyboard, mouse and headphones, and I have zero problems with it. It seems pretty intuitive to customise too.
I never had that problem with logitech or razer o.O
That is good, might have to give them a try next.
There is a budget brand called Trust GXT, they make the absolute best MMO mouses I have ever used.
I only buy their mouses now.
Donât bother with Steelseries, I find their build quality to be lacking.
While their customer support was nice to give replacements⌠same problems creep up again over time.
Iâm never buying anything from them again. Sadly, most companies have gone worse. Almost feels like they all build their crap to only last a year.
Also⌠how the hell have so many of them scroll wheel problems? It never was a problem but now you hear it from every brand.
I have been using Razer Naga Trinity from the release of SL (2020). After 1 year of use, I felt the wheel kind of funky, but the functionality of the mouse was pretty good. Long story short I got a second one to be safe, but the first one still works perfectly.
As for the software, I only use it for updates and creating the profiles on the mouse. On all other times, the software does not run on my pc, since I only care about binding the 12 buttons to the numpad. Only downside is that without the software the rgb lights cycle through the default colors (but I couldnât care less).
Generally I can say I am pretty happy with the purchase, and if something happens to one of the two mice, I might just buy a 3rd one to always have a backup of the same.
I know some people like to use multi button mice, but i never needed one, and i have like 35+ key bindings all easily in reach, i do have some on my mouse however i only have a 7 button mouse, never have any problems with it either.
I would switch from Corsair if their software is giving you issues, especially if you given feedback previously and they been ignoring it for months.
I have always used Logitech mice, heck i do not even need their software it runs fine without it to, which actually good thing as software can fail.
Anyway i highly recommend you give feedback to Corsair if you havenât yet if you experience problems, do this with any brand as they will not fix their software unless you tell them whats wrong.
I have been telling Blizzard and AMD how bad their game is and how bad Radeon drivers where, and Radeon Driver team only fixed their driver issues about 2-3 months ago.
Now i am depressed, actually considered burning this bridge with wow and to never return, but decided to give it one last chance, as i always been able to make friends in wow, just never outside wow.
No they dont i have my corsair scimitar for like 2 years now and it still works like a charm.
I use razer naga for a long time. first one broke after a couple of years. The second one I still have. No idea how many years i have it. But still works perfectly and itâs pretty old I assume.
The cable itself, on the one i got, doesnt deform like other cables, doesnât tangle, and doesnât wear on either ends. The outer layer doesnât ripp either.
It is pointless to play WoW without a razer naga imo.
I got 24 buttons with shift+1to12
And as a druid, I literally need even more than 24 buttons, soâŚ
Maybe go for 36 with alt+1to12 aswell. But for most purposes the 12 buttons can be enough.
The best thing is, I can press all these 36 buttons with my eyes closed.
And it saves a whole lot of time trying to set up all the keyboard combinations in keybinding options.
razer naga keybindings are basically already ready at default and by default. And adding shift 1 to 12 takes less than a minute.
Razer naga was born for WoW.
if I set middle back button to âwalk forwardâ, or âtoggle walkâ, i can casually play the game with 1 hand and drink with the other. And itâs good performance even with one hand. For me, itâs even better than two hands with keyboard bindings. and even with one hand I can play with my eyes closed and use any ability flawlessly and effortlessly.
There is just one issue, and an annoying one, but i got used to it:
On logitech g blabla, the mouse grip is between your thumb and ring finger, this is easy, effortless, natural, comforming, firm and secure.
But razer naga, for some strange reason, they didnât make a dent for the ring finger, they didnât even make a dent for the pinky finger, but you have to use your pinky finger and thumb to lift the mouse. This is unnatural and you gotta get used to it if youâre playing for long hours.
But the naga is very light, so that does help, as it is possible to gently lift the razer naga with thumb and pinky. But you simply get used out of habbit to place your thumb underneath the buttons when lifting the mouse. This helps grip and support requiring less grip force to lift the mouse, which is light anyway.
But if it is a first person shooter situation, razer naga is not good for fps at all. Thatâs why i got the logitech mouse for fps games.
What is the size like on the Trust? Iâve tried multiple MMO mice but always find them to be made for people with tiny hands.
Itâs perfect, seriously.
I have big hands and I suffered the same problem with Corsair and Razer ( once I got a Corsair mouse and used for two days, had to put it away because it kept going away from my hands for being too small) , there is no going wrong with GXT in this aspect as well
To be fair (to razer), I donât know what size of hands the razer naga caters to, it doesnât look like itâs for me, but in general, same like logitech, razer has mouses for different types of hands.
Iâm also pretty sensitive about mouse forms and sizes I really like the form of the basilisk v3 pro, but I know the deathadder v3 pro and especially the viper v3 pro would kill my hand. x)
I have been using a Redragon m908 impact for 5 years.
No issues with how the software works or any button/wheel issues so far.
I had a Razer Naga Trinity once. It already came with a pre-broken mouse wheel. I wish I were joking. Never been used, plugged in and the mouse wheel didnât work properly. Razer has awful QA. You might get lucky and buy a mouse from a batch that was OK, but often something will break within the first few months.
Iâm in the same boat as OP, my G600âs ring finger button is acting up like crazy and it might be time to look for a replacement, but there are no good MMO mice around anymore. The Corsair would be my choice, but it doesnât have a âShiftâ button. A friend of mine had bought it and has also had issues with build quality. So the Corsair is out.
Razer is a known brand for producing faulty hardware, and my only hope would be that stuff breaks before the warranty period is over so I can get it replaced. To add to my gripes with Razerâs hardware, their software is just plain horrible. Logi had this amazing, simple to use software, Razerâs SW is this behemoth that makes every little setting into its own app and slows down everything.
I might just buy a couple of Omron switches and try to keep the G600 alive as long as I can ![]()
In general i use steelseries for headsets, corsair for keyboards and razor for mouses.
Might not be optimal but it usually gets me the results i want.
