Does one exist?
My previous Logitech G600 died and I am gutted they discontinued it. I replaced with with a Corsair Scimitar, but the software crashes regularly causing the game to not register inputs.
How does Razer/Steelseries or the other 12 button mice hold up? I’ve heard Razer are worse for software and the layout of Steelseries does not look ergonomic to me.
What are your suggestions?

Corsair do the best one on the market,
My software never crashes, just takes a while to initially load up. My razer Naga was terrible

I found the Razor Naga trinity to work pretty good.
I tried Corsair once, the software drove me up a bloody wall haha
I’m using the Razer Naga Pro. Really nice stuff. I’ve had some problems with it, but nothing compared to the Corsair one.
Pro tip, don’t ever get the Corsair one. The mouse wheel just stops working after 5-6 months.
Wheel on corsair is really common problem, im hoping they would figure it out for the future models
Otherwise i like it and the software iCUE is alright once get the hang of it.
Had mine for two years no issues with the wheel at all

It’s a shame because it’s the only issue. The mouse was pretty great. But the mouse wheel problem just can’t be overlooked for me.

Ive been sending them back with the warranty for replacement but yeah its annoying to do if they start malfunction under a year. Its expensive would suspect it would last longer
Lots of people mentioning Corsairs middle mouse, curious what the issue is because I’ve actually had issues with middle mouse click seemingly needed a firm touch to work rather than when it clicks.
Wheel stops register and starts skipping, design fault. There is self help fixes that suggest open it and advices for a fix but warranty is gone if opens it so I wouldnt suggest to do under a 2 year old purchase.

What CPU do you use?
From forums I’ve read I am wondering if it conflicts with AMD as I have a 5800x3d.
Intel i5 bud what I’m using
Not sure how good Steelseries is, but if you think the logitech G hub is a mess, you’re in for a treat with Razer Synapse. It is a frickin nightmare and the only way to make it worse is to use it with more than one computer with the same mouse and/or keyboard.
I think I have around 500~600€ worth in one mouse + keyboard + headset and the one thing I absolutely hate is the software.
It randomly forgets profiles from my mouse, it randomly sets a “makro” on my keyboard with the “#” key doing a backspace, etc, etc. When it forgets a profile, I have to close synapse, kill all the still running synapse and razer central services with the task manager and then start synapse again. After that I still have to delete the new “quickstart” or “default” profiles it did generate and switch back to my profile.
Oh and sometimes it just randomly thinks the data on the cloud and locally are not matching and asks you which you wanna keep. directly before that it usually creates random new profiles and sometimes forgets one…before the sync!
Oh…nearly forgot…sometimes my mouse randomly turns on and off for a while after it was turned off for a while, so while charging, leave it turned on just to be sure.
But hey, I did never see it crash x)
I had a Steelseries Cataclysm for 10 years, and it never failed me, except when sadly, it eventually died of old age. Without a doubt the best mouse i ever had.
Since you can’t get them anymore, i went with a Razer Naga, and i can safely say that Razer software is garbage. The mouse itself is pretty good, but the software doesn’t work half the time.
If i were to buy a mouse today, i would look into steelseries again, however i really dont like the design of their current MMO mouse, the Aerox 9
Logitech is trying for a subscription mouse FFS
i still have my Naga mouse since wod days <3 but the middle wheel is pooped so I have to button the sides for up and down.
Oh I nearly forgot…one could think “don’t use the razer software then”, but unlike logitech hardware, razer hardware does not save the RGB settings in the device. You turn off the software and rgb shifts through all colors again, no matter how you did set it in the software. And while most of the keyboards have key combinations for changing the RGB, mouses have no such thing x)
razer naga x . it is lightweight with only 85 gram .very easy to move
I got dozen arena123 macro on shift, ctrl, alt wheelup/down/click and select target 123 on shift wheelup/down/click. Basically the first malfunction that start incur with it render me unable to play proper. Would be nice if there were some mmo mouse on market with wheel that maintain its function for years.
