i was there too … on the launch day dueling lowbies in crossroads on my newly created deathknight…

they all thought i was so cool as i was the first deathknight at crossroads/barrens lol

remember when alliance used to regularly attack crossroads for open world pvp…

whatever happened to that?

the most fun i had in shadowlands was the scourge event in prepatch infecting people at crossroads…

they should of never left azeroth…

A local gamestore had a midnight launch here  fun times.

Yeah… people kinda stopped doing it.

I do miss that kind of stuff though.

used to be my main content … just standing around crossroads doing pvp…

They kinda left Azeroth in the first expac…

yeah and look how it ended up …

people are far too spread now , you see no one while leveling … unless you spam dungeons and even then people rarely talk…

back in those cross roads days people where talking and taunting (and spitting) on each other all the time and it was a FUN TIME!

i dont like how the worlds progressed…

TAKE ME BACK!!!

#idontmeanclassic

Honestly, I wasn’t that into wotlk.
It wasn’t a bad expansion just not a fan of the look and design of it.
Too “realistic” bland looking skyrim-esque.

Edit: Oh! And I absolutely loathe the whole titan, ancient creators, world engine stuff

It came out before Skyrim was a thing though … When Skyrim launched we were in the Cataclysm

I was there. And then later on in WotLK, I quit WoW for the first time since the game launched. I was sick of having almost nothing to do. I’m glad many things changed since then.

The atmosphere in WotLK was great. The content; not so much.

personally i liked the boralus, howling fjord and icecrown questlines. I took a hiatus during the ulduar times.

Yeah the zones were overal very nice (I personally didn’t enjoy Zul’drak and Storm Peaks), but the endgame content for a player like me was so very limited. The game was still stuck in the ‘raid or die’ mentality back then.

true. it was the last time i raided (casually but i wanted the ashen verdict rep) seriously.
But the Lich King was the cause i am in World of warcraft…

Same

The hype was real!

Ye I’m just using it as a comparison.
Wotlk was more towards “grounded” fantasy with a lot more “realistic” enviroments and more washed out color palette and of course lots of nordic viking stuff.

Especially after seeing what Trash they have planned to come next after the amazing adventure we had 12 years ago…

Such a sad feeling.
