140k+ Mortal strike arms warrior

Got hit yesterday for 130-140k mortal strikes by arms warriors. Did they buff this by an insane amount or where did this come from?

Hehe, I am leveling thru battlegrounds right now and I can pretty much say that about half teams are arms warriors now. Not many feral druids for some reason. But 99% of the dps teams are melees or demo locks (which I seriously dont want to count as a caster anyways because Ive never seen them cast anything XD), not a good sign.

This is usually a sign that the fotmrerollers have found a new class to faceroll on, and wants to try it out in battlegrounds before hitting level 70.

And looking at the PTR notes for 10.0.5 it isnt getting any better, unless I have missed some notes… I am sorry if I did.

Underperforming specs (like affliction warlocks lol?) will get nerfed hard (we cant apply instant dots anymore with soul swap and our absorbs are halved xD) and, I dont want to make anyone mad, but arms warriors will be buffed.

  • New Talent: Improved Slam – Slam has a 10% increased chance to critically strike and deals 30% increased critical strike damage.

  • New Talent: Spiteful Serenity – Colossus Smash and Avatar’s durations are doubled but their damage bonuses are reduced by 50%.

  • Battlelord now increases the damage of Overpower by 35% (was 25%).

  • Ignore Pain has been added to the Arms tree.

Feral druids:

  • Taste for Blood bonus to Ferocious Bite damage increased to 4/8% per bleed on the target (was 2/4%).

  • Rampant Ferocity damage increased to 35% of Ferocious Bite damage (was 25%).

  • Dreadful Bleeding bonus to Rip damage reduced to 15% (was 20%).

  • Infected Wounds bonus to Rake damage reduced to 25% (was 30%).

  • Veinripper increase to bleed durations increased to 33% (was 25%).

  • Lunar Inspiration damage increased by 66%.

  • Taste for Blood changed to a single point node that increases Ferocious Bite damage by 5% per bleed on the target (was a 2-point node).

  • Sudden Ambush changed to a single point node that grants 6% chance per combo point spent to cause your next Shred or Rake to deal damage as though stealthed (was a 2-point node). Yay more talent points!

  • Tear Open Wounds now deals 70% of the Rip damage it consumes (was 60%).

  • Relentless Predator reduces the energy cost of Ferocious Bite by 40% (was 20%).

  • Rip and Tear: Tear damage increased to 15% of Rip damage (was 12%).

  • Lunar Inspiration damage increased by 66%, again.

Its good that everyone started leveling arms. Soon everyone will notice that arms is actually really bad.

I think your spec will be fotm as soon as 10.0.5 arrives.

Ignore pain will help, but still arms is killable. 11 sec IP wont beat priest shield warlock soulshield, feint or spellwarden etc… also keep in mind that warrior will still die if targeted. Waht really made warrior in sl1 was def stance perma %20 dmg reduc.

Dw atleast yall be viable compared to affli warlocks.

I am going to tell everyone a secret that I have kept for my self for a while so I can oneshot people with any class! (almost)

(Only in BGs though)
Step 1: Buy Saltwater potion from AH (10g isch per potion)
Step 2: Put it in your ulti macro
Step 3: Pick up a zerk buff in BGs
Step 4: ???
pewpewpew enjoy a 60% damage increase for a couple of seconds and some ultra high crits!
I don’t know if warriors crit almost 200k without it, it’s possible (maybe? I get oneshotted by most classes anyway lol) but if it was in battlegrounds this may be why.

Like 5 times or so, one of which was a +45% dmg increase

Arena, bgs, duels? Post a screenshot from details or something like that because sure I can hit 200k+++ ms in bgs np but rarerly over 100k in arena.

All three lock specs have more participation in arena than all three warriors specs have so don’t give me that. Highest warlock is also 200 cr higher than the highest warrior in 3s.

So ye check stats before stating nonsense. Changes are needed and good. Don’t forget that we will lose Exhilarating Blows and 5% mortal dmg because of the new talents, so its a tradeoff. But ip is big and needed.

Got a 130k in shuffle from a bladestorm proc.

Nice and I got hit for a final reckoning for like 160k. Your point? Warrior hits hard when the stars align, other classes hit harder. We are getting buffed and it feels nice.

Otherwise why sp/affli/outlaw/sub etc… Don’t have a 150k button as well?.

Ret isn’t op. They didnt need the dmg buffs, they needed something else. Warrior buffs are good, super squishy. I wouldent mind losing dmg if that is what you want but warrior is really squishy.

Sp is still the most played caster.

so when warriors current representation is this, shortly after the top tier speccs recieved a nerf. And this will develope further, we will probably have an undying warrior Meta again.

Ret warr, TSG, Thunder, Kitty Cleave and Warrior SP all over the Place.

So shadowlands it is again. Just that warrior is much more obnoxious now with access to leap sprint, 2x charge warbringer + stormbolt and impending Victory.

Please stop bringing up statistics that reflect the state of the game from a few weeks/months ago. It only shows you’re either extremely biased or clueless. Or both.

Heh, I did arena as rogue in retail s2 and can predict whos going to be fotm by just checking the bgs. I am not always right, no. For example, mm hunters are more popular than spriests but they were much better prenerf. But from 0 arms warrior to half bgs of them while leveling, I do notice these things hehe.

For example resto druids in tbc. People played windfury resto but I saw a sudden surge of resto druids bging and after some time, they dominated, like in s3.

Now I am seeing the same thing. People are preparing their fotm warriors for the update and knowledge they can burst and stick on people. So I would not be surprised if they take over the arena soon.

I have not checked warlocks in the ladder as I have university and not in to pvp yet on this fresh acc, but let me guess, most of them are demonology. I have never met that spec in warmode or bgs but they seem to be popular in arena. I am going to try it out.

Its funny people put arms’ burst in the top when its in the middle according to wowarenalogs, an addon a few pvp guys develop.

Arms is on the 15th spot for bursts with an average of 130k burst dps.

Ah 3 sec window. But the burst outside of that is insane. Like literal spikes over and over.

I guess it is registering aoe damage or something. Which is why frost dk and deva is so far up? And why prot warriors are over assa?
