15s death penalty in m+ needs to go!

what in alleria mind did they think with changing the death penalty from 5s to 15s is a good change for the game? This means that some dungeons are insta lost when you have some deaths. that means for example nectoric wake is not possible to be cleared.

is this some 0.1% bullsh!t or what? s1 in tww is literally unplayable.

They will have to revert it - it’s insane…

for people who doesnt know its this garbage affix thats causing this. … give me bolstering back or sanguine lol. better than this.

They must have some data at this point, showing that the amount of bricked keys has spiked exponentially compared to previous iterations.

Its a cringe ā€œaffixā€. The only thing it potentially prevents is 1 tank 4 dps comps being more attractive, since they rake up more deaths in favor of clearing speed.

yep its crazy most keys disabandon after a full wipe or if someone dies multiple times. you know ok damage and other stuff is good but we lost too many time because of 1 person die or a mini ā€œmistakeā€. its anti fun

Why hide behind lowbie alt?

So people can’t stalk them?

Do your mechanics right, do not stand in stuff and you should never die.

Game design sometimes are very lost on general human behavior…
So, let we explain it clear:
1 Wipe > +1 min lost > everyone will leave the key!!

Impacts:

  • The game community became more and more toxic
  • The game environment for new players is bad!
  • People will avoid returning or joining wow… They will look for other MMO
  • Stressed players pissed off because the bad mechanic
  • Many players are in they 30-40… Stop these non sense overblown mechanic… We will be doing mistakes no matter what… All reflex we had is gone now. You need to allow 1-2 mistakes before punishing people
  • Entry into M+ will be almost impossible for casuals. Only high RIO players will be invited to +7

Party attitude is a problem, nothing else. Most keys (especially low-level) still can be timed, even after 1 wipe.

I think the 15s death penalty is fine. I think there are other aspects, that make M+ very unfun for me. The affixes are also great. It just feels like I’m rotating through every CC I have constantly, and the mobs still finish casts and oneshot people. That’s my main issue with M+, and it’s just terribly unfun.

You could reduce the death penalty to 0 seconds and that wouldn’t really change the mob casting behaviour in the end, where you run out of cc options. I defended this before, but I’ve been talking to some people, who play premade, yesterday, and they also hate it, so it’s not just a teamwork issue seemingly, but rather just a weirdly designed mob AI.

They should make it 30 and with every next death 5 more seconds added.
But for real you are kicking your casual playerbase in the (You know where)…

I haven’t found any issue until+6 keys…
Hope we are talking after+6.

I think in the next expansion they could rework it so that every death lowers the key level by 1, so if you start with a lvl10 key and you have 4 deaths, you finish it as a lvl6 key, that will teach people dying in a dungeon that this isn’t a game for casuals or people who make mistakes, it’s serious.

Yes you have my seal of approval

15s death shouldnt exist in the War Within for some reasons. Bad design trash and boss mechanics, unfortunately it is completetly fail design. 15s is way too much and it is easy deplete run if you wipe and then 15x 5 + run back! You have to change it, devs!

Dont get me wrong! The War Withing is WONDERFEL game since Legion, but you devs change alot and it makes much worse with new system. WHY? Dragonflight is soooooo MUCH better than TWW Season 1. It feels everything is much harder and you cant play this game like before and you get it now, devs?

It’s because m+ is now really a challenging content and not a free loot activity so it punishes mistakes accordingly. And apparently many people hate it
