Believe it or not, i think i know why. I think it comes from love for the game. Retail has gone so trash that for 90% of the old playerbase it is a complete joke. I think he wants to share with us what i already know, and that is that Classic is a better version of wow than bfa.
I think people react like this not because they want retail dead but rather bfa in an attempt to see whats in for us on 9.0, perhaps the retail devs are also finally listening? Of course not dead in the sense of low player counts, bfa already checks that but dead as in no more patches wasted to this casino. If you like bfa, good but you gotta understand that youâre in a VERY small minority.
All i see in this is an last outcry from og fans to fix retail in 9.0 or we will all have lost our fav game. Thats what it is for me, guild after guild died, friend after friend left, it is time to stop, all my friends came back, for classic, i wish it was for retail but itâs a casino doodooshow according to them and i can only agree. Iâm scared when i play classic i will remember how good tbc was and never look back at bfa or retail together.
Bfa already died a long time ago, around the first weeks of itâs launch and for some already in beta, heâs just hoping for better times iâm sure.
Retail isnt trash. Is just an old game tryin to find its place in the modern gameworld.
After 15 years isnt possible to have always new and polished experience. The engine is old, the models (updated) are old, the ppl playin older than 15 years ago.
Itâs difficult to love somethin for 15 years.
I mean iâm sorry but it really is, if anything classic will prove that and already did, subs count went up and iâm sure they stay up, sure it wonât be as popular as 15 years ago but considering all I think itâs impressive.
There is nothing in retail that has meaning and they quite literally ruined every aspect of the game in one way or another. I could name them but iâve got loads of threads on that where i asked you; the community what is wrong retail, most seems to agree.
For example mechagon is a good start to refresh the game. Is somethin different (a bit ofc not totally).
Ill play classic BUT i know it wont be the same thing as in the mist of 2006. Im unsure about the wane IN THE LONG TIME of players in retail.
Of course, but Mechagon is still plagued by horrible class design, boring azerite and now essences, casino gear, global cooldown, phasing, lfr, lfd, ilvl creep, play the patch mentality (everything you do now is for nothing in 8.3),. Personally i find mechagon borng as hell, i donât think dailies were more fun than world quests personally. I never go there or nazj only when i need to and after revered it was never for mechabore
yes. but is the first try to view the game from an another POV. In fact im not so tranchant cuz i had some good time in BFA (not like legion or wotlk or tbc)⌠in truth i stopped playin when i reached pf2.
Now ill play just Classic and an another game.
I just hope that 9.0 could gain the good ideas of mechagon and fine a new way to have fun.
The release of Classic will benefit BfA more, than harm it. I see more people playing as a result. Even yesterday, I had someone whisper me asking how I got Spirit of Echeâro. I invited him to a party, took him to the quest giver and well, it was a 110 quest which he was not. I asked him to go on his main and he says âThis is my main, I only started last monthâ. I shared some tips with him and sent him on his way.
People who came for Classic will transition to retail, I mean this is why with a paid subscription you get both experiences. Blizzard knows it will bring people back for both versions of the game. World of Warcraft doing good as a whole, is great for everyone.
Iâm excited for people who have been waiting to play classic for ages. Myself? Been there done it. Iâll no doubt jump in and out of it when I get bored of live.
Iâll be sticking with retail though. Just about to make the jump from horde to alliance so will be like a new game for me (only played alliance in vanilla).
Donât know why people are so intent on others not enjoying themselves be it in bfa or classic. Play what you enjoy and let that be the end of it.
Same here, just want to see the quests that were removed from the game, like old zones and class quests, after that is goodbye Classic (unless they create a Classic+ version). The community is just too toxic.
Iâm excited for Classic, it will be nice to see some of the old zones pre cata.
However, I will still be playing retail. I donât see it as one or the other, why not play both?
