You don’t get 2 years for a first offence.
so explain exactly why you think im trolling?
The warning is when you sign the ToS or when Blizz says numerous times “RMT is against the rules, we -will- ban you for it”
They do give warnings for smaller infractions against the ToS.
Him admitting to it just closes the case.
He knew the rules. there is no need for a slapped wrist for blantant cheating. I hope you take this opportunity to teach your son that you can’t cheat in life.
Because you wrote:
Might depend on how severe the offense for this one though, if he shared his account multiple times for the mage tower then they might have hit hard with the ban hammer.
Some are reporting 30 days, some 6 months so I reckon OPs “son” repeatedly account shared to get rewards from the mage tower and is now facing the consequences he agreed to when creating his account.
Not defending the cheater here, by any means. But how many of those “Buy Boost for Mage Tower” adverts did we see in the LFG tool over that month? What did Blizz do about them?
Blizz has as much of a responsibility to protect it’s player base from Scams like this, and they certainly failed from removing these adverts in the game. Instead, they cover up their inability to moderate by banning the victims of the scams…
but I suppose they’re cheaters so fair play.
Just saying Blizzard should do more to prevent this. #nerfmagetower
guy cheated and got caught, should have been a permanent ban
Even if we sympathise, only Blizzard have the power to investigate/reduce the punishment.
Two years seems a very long ban.
Considering that getting the mage tower stuff is both RMT and account sharing, that’s two big offenses in one go. If he went for the spelltome, not “just” the druid werebear skin, that’s going to count as two very serious offenses.
Two years ban seems appropriate.
Oooh dear. There are so much more deviant ways to do this. I thought kids were tech sassy. Two years is ouch.
THE art.
No and why would they? It would be a horrible precedent. No you won’t get banned if you give us lots of money.
No, it’s not which implies it’s probably not a first offence.
This is where the OP moves into fantasy-land. It is not possible to speak to Blizzard on the phone about anything and, even when you could in the past, never about bans.
He is his self father and his own son.
But really, most of times bots aren’t banned yet some random people using one time thing instant caught and banned for years.
See what I would have done there as security would be to take you in the back and confiscate that chocolate bar.
Then eat it in front of you and tell the police you grabbed it out of my hands and ate the evidence.
That way they also take you to the police station and “convince” you to produce the evidence. By the time they work out whats happened I’ve quit the job and fled the area.
This will be a long, crime ridden chocolate war young lady.
Anyways… as for the thread.
Boy cheats, boy gets caught, boy tries to buy his way out of punishment, dad runs onto forum looking for sympathy. 2 years for his first offence… Hmm.
Hmm. OK. My sympathy is in the dictionary, somewhere between a crude name for fecal matter and a rather nasty infection…
Honestly I’m glad they’re doing it.
People should not be getting boosted and people should not be letting others play their account. Simple as that.
No, that is abutting two vowels…‘an’ is correct.
First off they got banned because they shared there account, second of if there was a 3rd party involved yes you are stupid to even consider it, and mostly it’s a stupid transmog.
