Imo it should be raised to 25. You can pug 20s without even using comms.
I think the top players should get the top gear. Maybe like dinar for timing 25s/mythic raid? Let people target gear. Let good players have a reward

You can pug most of M+ raids without comms towards the end of the season too. Personally I don’t mind too much, if it’s 15,20,25 or 30. Gear has lost any significance. You used to get gear to make your character better, in modern wow, your character idles in main cities expect when doing the chosen activity.
gear does make your character better. You would struggle to do meaningful dps at 300 ilvl.
They could even add special gear locked behind high m+ /mythic raid. Like legendaries
I was going with the short version. You are only technically right.
In a traditional sense, if you get a big piece of gear, say Ashkandi, your character actually gets better. It hits harder in pve and pvp, it helps you in every possible angle of this game.
Nowadays, it’s really not the case anymore. If you do M+, most of us AFK in Valdrakken until the next one starts. If we choose to pvp, the gear is up or downscaled. There is extremely little that your gear does to you, besides the fact that it makes the content you’re doing easier the next time you do it.
I’d go as far as to say, that they’ve made gear meaningless. Sure, my Ilvl kind of sucks, it’s somewhere around 409 and to progress, I need to get it somewhere around 418 eventually. Yet, I have no idea what gear I have on me, it is simply so pointless. If I get a drop, sure, I get some offstats and my character will last .3% more and will do .2% more damage.
This of course only applies to M+, since in other content my gear is irrelevant again.
20s is absolutely high enough for max vault rewards.
I do however like the idea of using the dinar system again to help bridge the gap in unique item (Rings trinkets, stuff with effects) reward quality between mythic+ and raids.
are you asking for 405 ilvl rewards at +25 ?
theres no reason it couldnt be closer to great vault level, 418 or something
Hard disagree.
20’s are aspirational / achievable by decent people that set their mind to it. 25’s are not. It would put a lot of people off for no real benefit.
Whether its true or not, the perception is that too much of the game caters to the elites, doing this would reinforce that and be a massive self own.
Also, only the top 2,8% of players have completed 20’s at the moment. Are we saying that doesn’t meet the bar got “good”?
Honestly, this feels like a troll post just to be contentious. You’ve not explained any upside to this.
There should always be something to aspire to. The greater you make the high end rewards, the more people will put in effort.
Make legendaries drop from +25. You’ll soon see more pushing lol. Or atleast rewarding those that do. It should pander to the best players, they earn it
Flagged as trolling
how so?
20s arent hard enough
If the gear gets even higher, would that eventually mean that the +25s become the new +20s ?
I personally (if I’d get there) would do it for the challenge.
You still get the highest gear from Mythic raiding so everything is fine.
And 20’s is also fine that you can achieve it without voice. It still requires very detailed knowledge about all boss and trash mechanics from your group to time it.
15’s like in the previous seasons was way too easy to achieve tho but that got fixed.
M+20 is most defintly not doable without comms for the vast majority lol. M+20 is fine, even world firsts are now complaining on M+ Lol, if they’re having a issue with it, its obvious the average player is too.
no.
this is why mythic raiding fails. Because Yes ensurfing high effort to earn the highest gear is a positive thing, if the difficulty is shot to high above the average player, they simply wont do it at all and abandon everything.
M+20 is managable by the top 1%. however the vast majority beneath that cant even manage a +18.
most 415 odd ilevel players, got their via vault, not by clearing +20s.
Guys, check his class and spec before you comment.
It is a clear troll attempt.
If he would play anything else he’d be hardstuck +16s atm.
We all know prot warriors require a -400 IO rating to display their skill…
did all 20s as a brand new tank lol…no comms. I just do everything possible to make my keys succeed, always top interrupts etc. Rarely fail mechanics, stun important abilities etc
maybe its just you
i did all 19s on my rogue before they broke the spec (outlaw). That was also easy.
Then you very quickly passed 99% of players skill level.
Check raiderio site if u want statistics, there aint many at all managing m+20 just me? No. I simply read statistics and aware of what thr majority are managing.
I think +16 is my highest key, but thats likely far more to do with my altaholic behaviour.
Rerolled 7 times after all
It’s worth noting most people who venture into mythic for the first few bosses don’t get 421 items either besides a trinket and a ring that may or may not be good for you. Mythic equivalent ilvl starts at 415, which is a 16 vault and also achievable with valor once you get KSM (Roughly 17s-18s).
I personally think 20 is about right for 421 ilvl vaults. Maybe there’s space to increase the max ilvl from the dungeons themselves beyond 405, and implement some sort of method for players to achieve specific high ilvl “chase” items through very high Mythic+ to bridge the gap between Mythic+ and Mythic raiding for said chase items, but a guaranteed 421 a week from doing a +20 feels pretty reasonable compared to what it takes to get 421 items from other sources of content.
Also a 415 from a +16 also feels very reasonable, not to mention the 418s from the crafting system.
Are you just here to flex mate? Go away
