I was in the queue for a SOLO RBG, the invitation for the battle ground popped up AND I ACCEPTED!. At that same moment a world loading screen popped up. When Finished i was still in the open world but i could see the RBG CHAT for 20 seconds, i even interacted with players via whisper.
On the right hand side i could see a deserter buff for 15 minutes, After the 15 minutes have passed i received a - 200 rating penalty for “not showing up” … So basically due to a bug i’ve been sent back a few days of progress! If you are being punished for something out of your control / a bug in the game… wow.
Anyone else having these issues? Or this exact same one ?
The same thing happened to me. I created a thread about this matter however many people said I deserved it and some even said I was evil for making my team lose 7v8. Dont expect people to sympathize with you here.
However I think its sad it happened to you, and I think Blizzard should lower the penalty from 200 to 50.
I was able to talk to someone in the match after I got booted out, apparently my slot was filled and they were 8/8 so apparently there is a system to handle these sort of things … I’m glad that only I suffered from the bug and it didn’t impact other people but still…
It’s blizzard’s new system they inplented to punish people that leaves mid-game. But like you, and ALOT of other players, the system is failing. You get still get -200 even if you DC due to server/game related issues.
I’ve lost -600 in total due to random DC’s, which have been server related issues.
I Just had a serious people knowing the knockback dc bug, dh tank griped me and threw me into the warsong gultch wall and it dc me insta as i loged it , happend 3x times then i lost 200 rating sick game
I also had a strange situation. I received a notification that BG had been found. I accepted. It was 10/16. I went through the portal and the game considered me a deserter. I lost about 200 rating.
16 people mode was never a good idea for solo rating… I don’t know where blizz is going with this but people keep dc-ing and griefing 7 other players is super toxic.
I’m still waiting for the day they will introduce a DPS only rated mode 2v2 or 3v3
yeah i reported but i don’t think blizz will bother doing anything, qued into same dh twice happend again , lost another 200 rating, now my win loss ratio tanked and now i get bad teams and they play like scripted bots , 0 communication and strats , before that i had decent teams
