2024 and still baffled about 20 year old mouse sensitivity

Back in the good old days most still played with a ball mouse, them probably didn’t even have 400 dpi, probably 200, the cool kids would have optical with up to 800 dpi, with screen resolution of 1024x768 so the sensitivity we had back then made sense…

Nowdays we have 1920x1080 as the smallest resolution, some play with 3840x2160, and i bet there is some mad man out there with 7680 × 4320…

The biger the screen resolution the higher the mouse dpi to be able to move the cursor from one side to the other and not have to do a very long sipe with the arm to do so… or even lift it up and backpedal to start over because you ran out of mouse pad…

Nowdays mice get to up to 50k dpi or even more, in my case I’ve been using 1600 dpi which is not anything exagerated but is the perfect middle ground, i have 3 monitors so i need a relatively high sensitivity to traverse from one side to another, my combined resolution is 5760x1080, however, in shooters and games where i’m required to walk and turn around i still need a low sensitivity to be able to aim and stuff, with a flick of the wrist i like turning 180º so that’s why, in wow, I’ve had to use the infamous macro to set the sensitivity as negative

/console cameraYawMoveSpeed 22
/console cameraPitchMoveSpeed 22

According to game settings this translates to a Mouse Look Speed of -2.4

Which is just sloppy.

Here comes the problem: when i turn really fast, the camera gets stuck, i have to slow down the mouse so the camera gets unstuck, which, as you can probably fathom is annoying as hell, the thing is that i don’t remember this happening last time i played back in BFA, only started experiencing this when i came back to wow in dragonflight mid season 2…

It’s not my mouse, it’s a Razer Deathadder v2 X, I’ve also tried with others, wireless, wired, and it only happens when the sensitivity gets set as negative.

Please, don’t tell me to set the sensitivity up, if I do then the camera turns very fast, a tiny movement translates into a 720º camera spin, and don’t tell me lower my dpi, my mousepad Razer Atlas would be insuficient and with its already considerable size, it would become insuficient.

What solution do i need? devs to fix their code  :+1:
