From years of playing MMORPGs, or even paying bills, I mostly see it like this:
Sometimes you do get refunds, however, a guarantee? Is that the way they handle the product dictates whether I’m willing to pay for the next month of service.
And it’s the same anywhere, including the electric bill.
Now if you signed in blood to pay the electric bill in advance for an entire year and you get bad customer service?
You have no one to blame but yourself for the headache you’re about to get fighting that.
In vanilla it was common to get free days added for server outages, but they stopped doing this after a while. Admittedly, server downtimes and rollbacks were more common back then.

how can some of my friends log in to the game without any issue… on my realm
Still not able to log in. Loading screen stuck at 100% and nothing. I have to close the game.

back in the day I remember ONCE they gave us a day extra for those who had a suscription, as a compensation of the downtime

You do realise that for 1 day of not being able to play equates to around 0.5 of a Euro, that is going to go down to an even tinier decimal figure if the servers are only down for a few hours.

how some dumb people here are still justifying having regular server issues on a monthly sub mmo , when there are better mmos out there that are completely free just boggles my mind.

In addition, Blizzard’s staff back then were real passionates who loved their community. I do not expect giving us today +10 game time. But for few hours of outage (WE PAID FOR IT), just a simple gift, some flightstones? Better this than nothing. But yeah… just look who is working there now… What we can do is open mouth and wait for another spit.

Not sure if it is related, but I just did a key, and the vault still say 0/1.
Same thing over and over again from the Blizzard “experts”. They either DO NOT WANT to fix it or they DO NOT CARE at all. It is what it is. And what is the compensation to all these stuff happening over and over again?
