20th Anniversary - Boxes - Requires level 80............ why?

20th Anniversary - Boxes - Requires level 80…

  • Problem -

I have now 11 - Bronze Celebration Cache of Treasures… ( Cant open since I am level 70 )

I also have 4 - Cache of Dark Iron Treasures… ( cant open since I am level 70 )

Blizzard, why are you giving people rewards they cant open…

I have half of a bad now, full of reward I cant open… since I am level 70 and not 80…

  • Solution -

Would’t it be better if you just scale the rewards inside the boxes… since some of us dont like beeing max level and enjoy the lower levels…

Just letting you know

this is perfect, you basically have full set of gear item level 600

when you buy TWW ofc

untill than, get to the group who run transmog mythic amidrasill or aberrus and youre gucci.

aha and you will have vault reward waiting on you when you ding 80

And for everyone who wants the caches to match their level even pre-80, there’s at least two who wants the content to stay an appropriate ilvl for lvl 80 so they quickly can gear up once they hit 80 and open all those caches.

what’s worse, is those coffer keys from BRD raid only drop for 80’s :\ would have had loads of keys while lvling to 80 if they were allowed to drop on characters under 80 :frowning:

I understand your pain but they clearly want to push those boxes as a privilege for those who own the newest expansion, so that’s that.

solution is to level up to 80 . :woman_shrugging:

This is a very good point…

it feels to me that Blizzard forgets their very own concepts, back in vanilla the game was from level 1 to max… now it feels like Blizzard them selves pretend there is no game exept max level… and this is so wrong and a huge waist… of potential

Old world has been “forgotten” since WotLK.
It got reinvigorated in Cata with the rework but then its back to being forgotten, so its sadly nothing new for TWW.
Its a shame really, since they could really do stuff if they wanted due to scaling…

While I feel you, this hasn´t really been the case anymore since at the very latest Wrath, arguably TBC, when people created accounts and played the game specifically to kill teh endboss while not caring about anything else. And ever since then, the game´s focus has been primarily on the endgame.

Hell, even back in TBC it was common to hear people say “the game starts at level 70”… Not saying that´s good or bad design, but just that at this stage almost 20 years later it’s kind of crazy to expect anything else… :beers:
