[21/2] Game Crashing even Battlenet losing connection (when connecting from the UK)

Vodafone customer here too,
Resolves with Surfshark VPN,
Seems to be something between Voadfone and Blizz, maybe a DDOS or man in the middle attack?
One minute the world server has really high ping, then it seems to be the home server.
Hard to say who is to blame here, Vodafone for some sort of block/ issue resolving connection/ stability, or blizz blocking Vodafone connections.
No idea. I hope it’s fixed soon.
I also had issues with Discord when connection to the European servers so I wonder if there’s an issue at a third party somewhere in the chain of it all.

Having same issue since yesterday.

If you run a continuous ping to 185.60.112.157 you’ll see that it’s dropping intermittent packets.

exactly my problem vodafone lol so what do i need to call them and tell them what ?

Tyrskorn is there any update? Do we even know if this is a Blizzard problem or Vodafone problem?

Judging by the conversation I just had with a Vodafone chimp, they most certainly have the bigger problems.

So You mean something happening to them?

There is a thread on the Vodafone forums about this issue where there’s some technical discussion about it. I’d like to link to it here but I get a message saying I can’t post web links.

I am having issues and 50% packet loss with ALL Blizzard services in the EU. Ruled out ethernet as I tried tethering to mobile.

When I tried to forward the inbound/outbound rules for I got this error: C:/windows/system32/config/desktop is unavailable not sure if related.

C:/windows/system32/config/desktop is unavailable

Ping statistics for 185.60.112.158:

Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 2, Lost = 2 (50% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Minimum = 11ms, Maximum = 11ms, Average = 11ms

Edit:

Thought I fixed it, played for 30 seconds and could interact with chat, then DCed again…

Edit 2:

I can talk in chat but having 400ms and unable to cast spells or attack, but the chat is available to me. After some time, I completely loose the packets and DC.

Edit 3:

Seems like its also affecting the EU website for Blizzard services.

remove the www. and .tld connotations (.com, .co.uk etc)

Same here, vodafone, been having issues since last night around 20:00 UK time, royally messed up our Gnomeregan raid as I’m one of our guild’s only two healers!

Uk vodaphone user here, also having issues!

Latest on the vodafone thread.

another vodafone user here, could someone do a tutorial on how to use opera VPN with the game please? have tried myself and googled it with no luck.

Same issue in UK with vodafone still ongoing as of 21/02/2024 [13:38].

I’ve resolve this!

I used the (free) Proton VPN. Installed, clicked connect, which took me to a Netherlands server. Now I am logging in and playing just fine.

Same issue. Vodafone as well at my current location.

They seem to be improving things now. The BNET launcher, the in-game store and some Blizzard web pages such as the support page are loading up fast again.

Reset your routers, dawgs.

I’m in!

I can second this.

The last time my router reset was with a firmware update a few days ago, I’m in now.
