Having pvp items in pve doesnt make sense anyway, unless it has huge ilvl advantage. OTOH having pve items in pvp will be often advantageous as long as you have enough survivability.
Regarding weapons, they should never lower rating req for t2 weapons. You will be crying seeing how many noobs get boosted to 2.2k for weapon.
What “fun” does the 2200 wep give you except stomping on noobs in bgs? in arena it’s all the same since your opponent most likely has them too.
A title or transmog or mount or anything would be far more awesome than a weapon.
The Uldu weps are better anyway, so why gatekeep them at 2200? It’s just a little less crap weapon, not like some super awesome high-end reward.
Thats the point. I also love open pvp, even tho its pretty dead sadly due to one sided servers.
Yes I like stomping on people and like winning 1v1s I wouldnt be able to cause of bad matchups for example.
Have you ever tried beating a destro or dotlock as ele? Try that without a gear advantage, he can play literally half as good and still win.
Undeserved.
The world of warcraft including bgs is not 2v2 or 3v3.
Its 1v1, 1v2, 1vX
Its an rpg. People who invest more time and effort are supposed to be stronger. Thats a core principle of old wow and rpgs in general.
Noone stops you from aquiring a 2.2k weapon but yourself. Just as noone stopped you from farming r14.
I didnt like the idea of grinding for r14 either as it wasnt a reflection of skill but rather a reflection of account sharing, botting or nolifing (some would call it dedication).
Since TBC its a reflection of skill. You can reach all the gear even with offmeta comps and specs.
I know cause I played 2h enhancer mage in 2s to 2.350 in s1 and 2 of tbc.
