Hi all!
I know - a very technical question. But what sort of a monitor are you guys going with? Most of the top-ladder players are using 1080p monitors exclusively.
I orded the above options, coming from years of playing on 23.8" 1080p. The 1440p is overwhelming at first, yet a lot sharper and the picture quality is (for sure) nicer to look at. I am afraid I might miss important gameplay action/stuff though.
Some guys here on 1440p here?
never went over 1080p for this exact reason, maybe im wrong but i feel like you would lose alot of awarenes and just waste money on the screen
I have 1440p. You just make things bigger and move it in but for wow I dont think its better. For other games and work its nice but you just have to rearrange the ui and scale it up a bit in wow.
i recently switched to 1440p and 27” and i didnt lose any awareness.
I’m using 24’ 1080p for WoW .
i mean if you think the screen is too large then just move further back.
i use a 34" ultrawide, which is the same as a 27" 16:9 just wider. used 27" 16:9 before. it is nice to have the chat and dps meter and stuff far away i think, so much room for activities. i don’t have frames on the corners, they’d be way too far to look at.
but also it’s just about being nicer for immersion and more room on the desktop, not about performance. resolution makes things look nicer as well.
moat people could play with a 10" screen because all their stuff is moved to the middle.
i use a 32", first i thought it is too big but it is actually quite nice to play with of your you move your main stuff more to the middle
