Gilneas would be better than nothing sure. But it does not fit well into lore themes and timing.
Bel’ameth isn’t an alliance city, it’s an alliance town and the vast majority of alliance players and horde don’t care that it exists, it’s a night elf RP hub nothing more.
So quit being so disingenuous but I’ll say this, if you believe the things you’re peddling then I’ve got a chocolate tea pot to sell you and I promise it won’t melt on it’s first use.
Well two reason first, most story takes place for Alliance is in Stormwind (Same for Orgimmar for the Horde). That is first reason why the Darnassus is empty same for Exodar. Same for Silvermoon as there is no story takes place there so its why it is empty but Im pretty sure that changes in Midnight for the new Silvermoon.
Second reason is Silvermoon and Darnassus has no barber. They have Auction Hall, bank, vendors but when it does not have everything, its gets abandoned. But im pretty sure that in Midnight Silvermoon will have a barber as its bigger and players will spend 2 years there or more there. And other players will RP there for “YEARS” ahead.
Undercity has a barber but there is no story there so its why that is empty, might changes when the Updated Lordaeron city and no undercity as they want to be lordaeron people again and not a fallen outcast Scourge race. Rebuilding their culture they once had. Will look more of a dark gothic/Vampire/undead theme of old castle look so they keep the undead theme for the forsaken. And the upper city of lordaeron is mostly intact so it be easiest to rebuild.
Same for Ironforge and in Wow vanilla Ironforge was the center hub city for the Alliance as it was the easiest way to get around in EK. But then most stories took place in Stormwind and All Alliance players went there instead. So Blizzard made sure each new hub city for each expansion has everyting. Vendors, pvp vendors, AH, barber, bank etc etc.

Gilneas will have its own dark gothic theme for the city. With werewolves ofcourse.
Oh, i agree that making Silvermoon the hub city is a mistake (The place is so tacky!), but at this point, they won’t build another city from scratch.
And let’s face it: “AlLiAnCe BiAs!!!”-accusations will never stop, especially from you, Blizz could give the Horde all of Azeroth, and somehow the Alliance being gone would still be “evidence” of Alliance bias.
Im sure that all those people just standing around at max level and having completed every quest in Orgrimmar and Stormwind are there to quest… 
The story has absolutely nothing to do. Also, can you please specify the story of WHICH expansion takes place in Stormwind? As far as I am aware, we have been a couple of expansions somewhere else other than Stormwind/Orgrimmar.
People hang out in the most convenient city possible. For the max level services. Namely, AH and the bank. Donorgal in this case has extra stuff, like a guy to upgrade gear and M+ portals and stuff like that. Hence why everyone is in Donorgal at the moment.
People use mounts for that. Not a big deal.
The reason for Undercity to not be used is that all the things are placed on a super inconvenient and far away place. For example the bank to AH. In Orgri you can have a bot walk a streight line from one to the other, while in Undercity its a maze of bridges and things. Same for Ironforge.
But even if it did have a barber, if said barber is in Narnia within the city, people would still go to Orgri.
Like I said its not the right reason. Stormwind WAS the most efficient. However, the “herd effect” of people is real. If most people go to SW because some max level players spend their day going from Bank to AH, low level players will too. Even if its technically less inefficient for them… but the tradition is kept. SW and Orgi are the main cities.
Speaking of traditions, Silvermoon is one of the most horrendous capital cities. Its as if everything is put on purpose to be inconvenient. Like Zuldazar… that place is #1 on the crappiest, most confusing hub ever made.
Actually the reason the belfs joined the Horde is cause the Forsaken came to help them when the Alliance was sabotaging their efforts to secure a place to live. So let’s not make up crap, okay buddy? What’s next you gonna say that Silvermoon is an Alliance city?
Cataclysm for the Alliance and same for the Horde and almost all expansion starts in those cities. Unless you bought your wow characters from internet you should know that.
But sure when the time comes for updated Elwynn forest then Stormwind will be the hub city. In case you didn’t know Blizzard is planing updated every zone to HD. So we will one day see updated zone of Westfall, Duskwood, Redridge mountains. So too will we see updated Duratar as we saw in Orc Heritage armor that Duratar will be what it was along time ago. A jungle as orcs spoke to the anceint spirit of the land during the Orc heritage armor.
Azuremyst and Bloodmyst will be updated with a brand new Draenai city and as we saw in the Draenai heritage armor quest there was Blue skinned orcs. They were half draenai, half orc. So it could become a neutral city, depending on story and what we will face off.
There be updated lordaeron city and gilneas city and Hillsbrad Foothills, Tirisfall glades, Gilneas, Alterec valley.
So the old world is getting HD revamp each 4 zones get a new story. Not saying every expansion will take place in the Old world. Just when it makes sense.
Because the three MCs are all alliance leaders in the current story.
the alliance hub should have been Stratholme or Gilneas.
So the Horde is getting gaslighted again, huh? Who would have thought?! Welcome to World of Alliance, the Alliance Saga!
When will we get an easy access/ portal to an Alliance city? And don’t come to me with Belameth…it is nothing! We Hordies fought for the world tree just as much as the Alliance!
The Horde part better be guarded by elite NPCs or have a teleport out feature like Dalaran had when you tried to access the opposite faction’s hub, or Silvermoon will be untenable for the roleplaying folk as every sweaty Alliance player will be in our neck murdering our NPCs and just causing nuisance.

Horde get a fully revamed city only for themself while alliacne get nothing is pure horde bias.

I am just gonna point here that it was Draenei, Alliance race, who helped to restore unstable Sunwell in TBC … so kinda thanks to them Blood Elves could further exist.
I can seriously imgaine you as a ‘doomsday’ guy in the game - but in your version you would be walking through Silvermoon yelling “Alliance Scum”.
