I just got an option to update my Win 11 to 24H2. I am wondering does that affect my performance in WoW. Does anyone else using 24H2 already? What’s your experience? Any issues?
I installed it 2 days ago and haven’t experienced any issues so far. The game runs smoothly.

when you alt tab it sometimes freezes the game, There was an update today but it didn’t help at all

Since 24H2 nothing changed but since tww it feels like it uses assets a lot worse on a RX7800XT 16GB, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5 6000MHZ, Samsung 980 evo m2 SSD.
Im playing on a 165HZ odyssey g5 (21:9) my fps is between 35 and 165 usually on the lower end(doesn’t matter if on graph 3 or 7 settings)

Alt-tabbing out of, or back into WoW, causes your entire PC to freeze for a second or two, is the one that most people are complaining about.

Microsoft has changed the way Windows 11 handles memory in 24H2. While this change is an improvement, it has caused many incompatibilities with what we usually do on the computer, such as Alt+Tab. As long as Microsoft continues to use AI to make these optimizations (which do not take into account the random thinking of a human being), we are going to see more and more of these problems.
Oh boy, there is a lot to unpack here but let’s not go there.

Thanks all for the feedback. Updated my Windows few days ago and so far don’t have any issues.
Microsoft has confirmed that 24H2 is the issue, and is breaking a LOT of games. So much so that they have paused the rollout of it, until the issues can be fixed.

I don’t have that issue, but I also don’t use auto hdr. Turn it off if it causes issues.
not a full fix, but i did better after reinstalling clean windows 11 from scratch. i also uninistalled amd adrenaline
Yeah, my PC updated to 24H2 today, and since then I’ve had the issue where i’m tabbed out, and game will freeze, tabbing back in, the game is still frozen for 5-10secs until it corrects itself
this is with auto-hdr off, triple buffering on/off and hardware acceleration disabled in other programs
The problem still persists… 3 months and counting…
Please share if someone has a temporary fix on this… I’ve tried every possible fix so far… game is unplayable.
disabling MPO was suggested here by 2 seperate people, I haven’t tried it myself so can’t vouch for it

I did this and no issues so far, after a couple of hours of testing.
Do some reading on MPO and the functionalities before taking action.
