Hmmm, don’t listen to me. I’m talking crap. Because I got the elite sets for each season on my hunter it’s allowing me to equip them on my Evoker because it’s mail as well.

Just me being stupid. Ugh

Just to clarify, you can get the elite appearances by upgrading them to duelist. It’s not class-specific, it just depends on the items you’ve got.
However, during a season, you can get the elite appearances for your class, by reaching the ratings for the items (you’ll get a couple of transmogs added to your cosmetics list for pretty much each rank up to rival), and you’ll have the full elite set on 1800 rating. (It doesn’t require any upgrading to get the class elite set, the looks will be added to your cosmetics list regardless of the items you’ve got equipped.)

Weapon mogs requires upgrading them to duelist though, as they’re not part of any class set.

For example, I’ve got DK elite and pala elite stuff that I can xmog on my warrs for example, if I wanted to.

The weapon enchant, cloak and tabard won’t be obtainable until later in DF s1 though, but you’ll get it retroactively if you achieve the ratings for them before they’re added to the game. As mentioned earlier.

What rating do I need for that? Currently wearing shaman look alike set and would like to get elite version of it.

I assume it is 1.8? Or 2.2k?

I don’t know if they’ve still got the seasonal class set rewards active in the off season, they made some sort of exception for the prepatch which I never bothered to look at, but you can’t get the full elite set from the upgrades afaik, because they limited it to 2 items per slot (for most slots) from the vendor and rotated out a cosmetic between SL s3 and s4 for the slots.

For example, you can’t get the pala elite chest & helmet from upgrades in SL s4 and prepatch. Only paladins could get the full tier set which is added as a cosmetic automatically by reaching the rating for it.

So to answer the question, you’ll need 2.1k if you go with the upgrade-path to get the cosmetics that are still obtainable.
