Finally there is a endgame weapon that fits the orc racial …… and blizzard kicks butt by making it 2.7 in speed …… btw there is a 1 handed weapon that is 2.8 in speed….
This makes this item absolutly useless cause almost every skill on melee classes is weapon damage based….
I hope they change it……

We aren’t at endgame yet, this isn’t naxx where you have 3.80 2H with ridiculous damage, I think we are fine to goof around a bit, especially if we consider that the original axe from Gnomeregan had a 2.7 speed as well.
Look at the best caster set with minus stamina on it. These items are so strong they need to have at least some downside to them, and they are made somewhat in the spirit of Vanilla, that had such items.
And either way you do have a good slow 2h weapon from the pvp event if you want to bonk people hard.
Have you considered that maybe Warriors are doing so well that they don’t need pristine designed weapons?

Thermaplugg’s Rocket Cleaver might be decent as a 2-handed fury warrior since neither Bloodthirst, Quickstrike or Execute scale with weapon damage. Probably won’t be worth using over a regular slow 2-hander, but maybe it won’t be totally useless.

You can’t have a perfectly-itemised weapon every phase, that would be absurd. At least shamans get some good stuff this phase.

Are you always this dense? Do you have what a +5 2h skill belt from GNOMER means?
It means that Blizzard are adding more gear with weapon skill. It means that the weapon specialisations on your class aren’t going to be the be-all of race selection.
It also means that new gear is being added. There’s no guarantee that Might of Menethil will be the best weapon in the game by the end of SoD.
I guess it is intended to be used in a 2h tanking build. Maybe get a bit creative next phase

Neither of which want a fast weapon lol. Who do they even make these weapons for? As far as I know no class wants a fast MH / 2h weapon.
Am I wrong to say that Shamans will still dual wielding this next phase? Especially given how good the fist weapons look in Gnomeregan and the massive AP(852) from dual talented Rockbiter. I’ve been playing mostly resto so far.
And about the weapon, it doesn’t have to have perfect stats. The best cloth set for dps has minus stamina on all the items. These items are significantly stronger for lvl 40 than any other lvl 40 item available before.
I think they are doing it on purpose to drag these items down a bit so that we don’t end up with power creep like lvl 70 equivalent gear dropping from the lvl 50 raid
