Hello, if I want to get the belt legendary for my alts, do I have to do the quest storyline again (I know I can skip to chapter 3) or is there some catch-up?

So my few alts can skip to the chapter third, once any alt completed the third one?
The unity is unlocked account wide, you can just make a legendary on alts with that.
If you want the specific belt you have to do the quest line, but bear in mind it can’t be upgraded.

It is. Go onto the Power tab on your alt, and you’ll see Unity there. You do not have to buy it more than one time: once learned, it’s there, like any other legendary power.

Yeah I forgot they are memories we give back to the runecarver and they are added there.

So just to be clear.
Memory of Unity is account bound but i think the real question is, do you need to do anything to wear 2 leggos on alts? or is it just unlocked ?
You don’t need anything but unity and another legendary of your choice. I crafted unity for my priest, no requirements to equip it together with flash concentration.
I’m so confused. I now have a L291 legendary and a L265 belt legendary both with the same powers.
So to equip 2xL291 legendaries, one with Unity and another with a different power, I need to buy two more L291 base items?
If you are happy to use a 265 belt then you don’t need to use Unity. Unity is if you want to create a 291 or need to move the covenant ability to another legendary slot.
There are recommendations for most classes what slots to have your legendaries in. However you can pick whatever you prefer.
For example, my M+ lege is already on a belt and I have put my ST lege on a cloak. So now I have moved my Covenant legendary to a ring. This way, nothing clashes iwth a tier slot and I can have all three at 291.

just very blatant desperate attempt to force people into buying multiple tokens to craft legendaries for alts instead letting them get belt.
pathetic anti alt friendly mechanic .
yes but chapters 4-7 take around 2 hours. mutliply it by 5-10 alts and it makes you want to barf not play game.
Is there a time limit to this?
You’ll have to do it on alts, but you are rewarded with the 265 ilvl belt version automatically.
Odds are that it’s an upgrade even in ilvl, especially if it won’t clash with the main leggo slot, so it’s worth the hassle of an hour or two if you’ll use the alt in question 
I’d rather get it that way over spending countless thousands of gold for crafting it on any other slot.
I have 5 legendaries 291 paid without token now you? So no they don’t force you you are just…
