why the 2s arena experience is so inconsistent at 1300-1500?
im not fery experienced, started as sv hunter, re rolled disc. some matches at 1450+ we will kill an hpal without him even bubbling, some matches at 1350 we will get mercilessly outplayed by a 28k rdruid and dh…
Its very frustrating, hard to improve, brutally demoralising. Think my partner(feral) will quit soon and then i will probably have to.
not that bothered about rating, except it would be nice to get better gear but 1600 is miles away rn, mainly we justvwant to learn and get better but damn is it hard work…
It is not as predicteble anymore, the Pala might have died while he had the global cooldown, since you can die by random damage.
Try to learn from the good players, and don’t be afraid to use defensive, sometimes you need to use more than 1 aswell.
And some comps synergies more than others so don’t be afraid that some comps will win no matter what gear they have.
Try to get some clean cc chains on your goes, if you get consistent chains and just focus on that your rating will go up passively. Try to focus on the matches and not the rating/gear.
And yeah gear matters more than skill, so you could try to get full 226 but you won’t be doing what you enjoy in the game
On Sunday when we played, literally every second game the other team had a gladiator carrying- I.E they had the title on and were using the current seasons glad mount, usually a Mage, Rogue or shadow priest.
We even went so far as to armory a few of the glads, I’m talking 2700 rating in 3s on average this season, alongside people who didn’t have anything above the 1550 achievement.
Last night we played, maybe we got lucky, didn’t face a single glad team, won 8 out of 11 games, actually got to 1650.
Iv had a very similar experience to you, would even go as far as 60% of my games at 1500 had a booster on the other team.
We have to pop defensives just to survive there regular damage and when they pop offensives were done.
Got blew up in 1.9s by a ret the other day had time for 1 defensive, and it’s not any one class.
I think pvp scaling would fix so many of these issues and making boosting a lot harder and give players who use there defensive/offensive cds correctly peel and generally play well at least a fighting chance.
