We all know that the vast majority from the beginning wants 2s solo queue, but Blizzard simply always realizes things late for some reason. Blizzard, do you understand that from the very beginning, people—average PvP players—desire 2s solo queue more than any other PvP content? Is it possible that you can’t see such an obvious thing?
I know that people will chime in who bark at the stars in vain because they have a sick desire for everything to be according to them on the forum, and that’s why they impose themselves even though they don’t reflect the real majority, but @Blizzard, please consider what I’m talking about and investigate it yourselves and pay attention. Here is a WoW player who has been playing WoW from the very beginning. Believe me, MANY people desire 2s solo queue from the very start; for some reason, this is an invisible fact to you… As if the people who make this game don’t play WoW at all, nor have they ever played it long enough… I don’t know what it is… But plz make 2s solo que possible.
Yeah… Because SS was such a massive success that you are willing to give arguments to do it again for 2v2?
2v2 is garbage. Its so comp dependent. You get paired up with someone that synergies well and you have a practical guaranteed win. If you dont, its a guaranteed loss. And chances are, that you will be paired with someone that dosent.
That is why 2v2 is a meme. And 3v3 is the real arena.
They should remove shuffle or make it the real 3v3 solo queue what people asked for in first place, people asked soloq for arenas, not some separate mode that shuffles people for 6 rounds in different teams except the healers having to face the same heal vs heal for 6 rounds.
People didnt ask for some weird adaptation of real arenas rules either where game ends immediately the first troll to die lining his heals and half his defensives unused and like that is not enough, each round starting with mega healing debuff that ramps faster than in arenas so healers have to just spam heals while unable do much else if the dps is bad and tanks dmg. You can win arenas as last alive while team is dead and its actually fun if you do but in shuffle you lose right away if some troll happens to brain lag or something without pressing a single key and die.
Real soloq for arena as 3v3 with arena rules or remove this shuffle is my take on this whole soloq mess they created for us that is now even killing real arenas. And the rated system is still participation based so the more separated modes they create only thinner the pool gets in each and the harder it becomes to get rating.
Entire overhaul of their rated system is now also needed with this many separated rated modes of 2v2, 3v3, blitz, shuffles, rbg. We dont have playerbase in retail to have healthy participation in 5 different modes. You can see it immediately when they open legion remix or something and people drop mmr that week if participation dips.
As I already said, people will show up who are completely incapable of considering that arena can be fun for new players or for people who want to relax instead of winning at all costs. The “winner mentality” has totally degraded this game, and everyone piling on in the comments here are people who aren’t having fun at all.
@Blizzard A huge number of players won’t come here to confirm what I’m saying because they don’t hang out on forums and don’t want to stick their necks out, but it’s obvious. I’m a 2.7 XP Rogue and I’ve played RMP my whole life on my main account, so I know perfectly well what a high-level competitive match is. However, over time I’ve realized how many people just want to have fun not, like rets, run headfirst through a wall until their eyes pop out.
Please take the original post seriously. Even if people hate on it in the forums, in reality a lot of players will want to play and practice through a 2v2 Solo Shuffle.
I’m not belittling anyone’s comment or opinion I just want to point out that the people still active on the forums mostly represent a part of the player base that doesn’t really understand what WoW is. And when they comment about arenas, they only look at things from their own perspective without considering what benefits all players.
Pro players will complain because they’re burned out from playing this game 12 hours a day. Players below 2000 rating will argue that requirements should be lowered, etc. But it’s important to say that most players aren’t even 2000-rated and those are exactly the people these features I’m suggesting should be aimed at.
2v2 will still exist, 3v3 will still exist, pro players will still exist just give an option for players who want to practice/have fun, who don’t want to waste too much time finding partners, and who don’t take arena too seriously, you know? I’m speaking from the experience of my guildmates there are tons of players like that. They just want to have fun and practice 2v2 solo queue first.
What winner mentality are you yapping about? Absurd !
NOBODY plays ANY game to keep dying and loosing all the time.
And PvP is a very particular mode. There is no “tie”. You either win, or loose. And being the punching bag that gets 1-shot 2s into the arena ALL THE TIME is not fun. And it never was.
Pretty much all of this .
I too hate this weird mode where first death loses the game . So many games where enemy is 2% xp and you die and its a loss . Just favoring brain dead burst comps with executes .
Also as OP said , I too would enjoy having normal 2v2 also . Not only would the queue be faster (almost instant) , but he is right that the majority enjoy 2s . It is obvious that even after they made sure they did everything possible to ruin this format , people still play it . Remember they stopped giving titles for it at some point and people still play it .
Broken comps is not a problem of 2s , Broken comps is a problem of broken classes who are designed with the idiot philosophy “3v3 is king” , expecting to be carried by a healer . Design the game around 1v1 and 2v2 and you wont have “broken comps” .
And thats currently most noticeable with dmg being so high with certain specs that they can close the games quickly if people are not on their guard for it but other classes cant do the same, also its pretty impossible for class like warlock to enjoy it when its so comp dependant and needs people to play around your gates and port and support you. Instead you can just play some mm for example and cheese wins in openers currently, or sub or assa, or do zugzug dmg as dh and go ham on people and win in dampen by just doing dmg and unhealable pressure all game.
2v2 is fun and easiest to play with friends or lfg, sadly they have deflated it too severely with these separated modes eating players from arena though. I healed some 2070cr 2200mmr 2’s and meeting awc players, even if I found it fun as challenge to fight 8min long games vs some famous streamers and the like with over 10 r1 titles on their belt its not something I find sensical for the 2070 rating we were playing with a friend, then I’m forced to go sit in long ques for soloqs basically.
I think they should make arena inflation mirror shuffles at this point considering how few play arenas anymore, even 3v3 is like 10 teams queing there its complete dead with 3-5min ques.
Bro, first deep breath and just try to understand what am talking about. Be in that state of “trying” at least 10 seconds. Ok I’ll help you, the winner mentality is the majority who want everything immediately and now, even willing to pay for it if necessary, and who will immediately leave the group and cry after a lost match without even trying to understand at least Diminishing Returns (DR) in the arena. They react exactly like you’re doing now, immediately whining and crying and not enjoying the learning process with their friend. For starters, you can try to learn the basic things with your friend, not just push rating. Let that state last for a period, then you’ll be able to progress, not immediately drooling for results.
Here’s the solution: if you have an IRL friend, just have fun in the arena and try to put together a good CC chain while you’re bursting, play around and try, don’t pay attention to getting killed - instead let your entertainment be that each time you put together a better and faster CC chain (exactly on time or approximately when your DR resets), that can simply be fun. Fun to learn the game, to understand it, to understand the arena - the focus doesn’t always have to be winning. You can’t compete in the cleanliness of your a$$ if you don’t even know how to wipe it yet, forget about EVERYTHING NOW IN ALL COST, its wrong and not funny. Most people living their life like that and they are very sad persons even they have everything they need, but they are caught in machinery of madness and they can not enjoy if they do not escape of that mindset. Don’t be one of them!!! - is my only advice :).
I said loosing all the time. Not always winning. I am referring to ALWAYS loosing.
That is not fun. Even for you.
Try it. Go with a friend. Try to do some CC chains and get 1-shot again… and again… and again… non stop. Nothing you do will improve your situation because it does not depend on you.
Besides. WHAT friend? You are talking about a 2s solo queue here. Emphasis on the “solo”. If I wanted to “learn CC chains with a friend” I would play normal 2v2.
