Arcane Momentum - Casting Blink during a GCD, now removes the remaining GCD.
Additionally, Touch of the Magi is now instant cast and off the GCD.
Clearcasting is no longer dispelable and does not affect Arcane Explosion.
How this helps:
Makes Blink(stun), Master of Time and Slipstream viable compared to Shimmer.
Helps out with being less GCD capped.
Removes the awkward, obvious and clunky “I’m about to burst you!!!” moment from Touch of the Magi.
Blinking removing a GCD with Arcane Momentum, gives a lot of play-making potential and incentive to play more aggressive.
(Frost Nova > Blink(deletes remaining GCD from Frost Nova) > Poly)
(Arcane Blast > PoM Arcane Blast > Blink > PoM Arcane Blast = 3 Arcane Blasts in one GCD)

Make Blink(stun) off gcd.[quote=“Vîndy-ravencrest, post:1, topic:274303”]
Make Blink(stun) off gcd.

That doesnt change anything specifically for arcane.
I dont even understand the first part of your talent “Casting Blink during a GCD, now removes the remaining GCD.” looks redundant with the 1
Touch of the magi beeing instant cast should be PVE base.
The problem is not that it affect arcane explosion it’s that it does nothing to arcane explosion but removing the mana cost when you actually get something when cassing missile from it (speed and extra missile).
Better make it so the clearcast AE is auto crit, or even better that it cast 2 AE with 1 cast to stay in the thematic of the effect.
Tbh, i think that fixing the PVE problems of arcane would solve the PVP ones. In both situations the end point is that it’s not competitive for the same skill level than fire or frost.
It does, a lot.
For PvE it help whenever you play Slipstream, making you not lose on 1 GCD of damage.
For PvP it allows you to play Master of Time against stun heavy specs, while still allowing you to get Blink + Sheeps.
Normal Blink is outdated in it’s current state.
If you use another instant like Prismatic Barrier or Frost Nova, that is on the GCD, then you can use the off GCD Blink(from suggestion 1), which will remove the GCD caused by Prismatic Barrier/Frost Nova instead of having to wait it out before doing anything.
So no, it’s not redundant. The 1 change makes this function properly.
That could work out too, but honestly, Clearcasting should’ve never moved to AExplosion in the first place.
Legion nailed Clearcasting and mana management, I don’t see a reason why they even changed it. I guess Spellsteal giving Clearcasting was a nice touch, but they could’ve just pasted the Legion version and add Spellsteal to the mix.
