So… I don’t typically make posts here, I don’t enjoy complaining about things.
BUT!
Since the new expansion launched this has been a constant issue, there has been times where I’ve been kicked because I’ve had to go afk, but now it’s gotten to the point where its once or twice a week, sometimes with hateful messages and slurs (as friends have shown me through screenshots) today I was just leveling with my friend and got kicked from a group. The kicks are anonymous, so I -OR- my friend cannot report them for it, I’m punished with a 30 min wait which interrupts the time me and my friend were spending together, so it ruins both our experiences.
This is a toxic issue that’s become too frequent, and we have no way to fight back to report them. This needs to get sorted.
Edit: I should throw in, this typically happens when theres pre-mades (Which I can only assume because it typically happens when the majority are in a guild or the same realm, but I have no way to prove this, so I can’t just report them all.)
then just dont play when you know that you have to afk . it has nothing to do with pre made.why should groups carry your dead weight around ?

I didn’t AFK at all, neither did my friend. I specificly mentioned the fact that I don’t care when that happens, My post was mentioning when it’s troll kicks. Read it next time.
Edit: I mean as in, tonight. Most of the time I don’t afk, and sometimes I need to answer the door. Or let my dog into the garden. And if I afk at those points, I understand. It’s when I’m actually playing and get kicked for no reason I wish was delt with or atleast reportable.
If you are being kicked frequently, assess what you’re doing that’s causing this. It’s definitely a you issue.

We had this thread like what… yesterday? If people are kicking you frequently, even 1-2 times a week and in addition adding slurs towards you, surely that doesn’t just happen randomly because three guild mates wants to kick you…
And why do they kick specifically you and never your friend?
I am in no way condoning slurs or hateful messages, but apart from maybe 1 troll group, I doubt 1-2 times a week a group decides to randomly kick you, unless you did something that provoked that.

This expansion I’ve been kicked once, exactly once. If it keeps happening, then I seriously wonder what the reason would be. Being kicked once for no reason, sure. Twice, bad luck, can happen. More than twice? Then I start to doubt the innocence act.
What do people do to manage being kicked so much, I’ve never been kicked once this expansion, even if I said “sorry brb” to went to take the door or something.

You can’t report others for using VTK.
You can report them if they abused chat.
I’m sorry but if you did nuffin’ that’s why they kicked you.
If they insulted you there’s 100% chance you said something first.
I’ve gone afk hundreds of times and I’ve never been kicked.
It’s defo a you and your friend issue

Hello, thank you for this, it’s an actual response which I was looking for. The link you provided also gives me insight into giving feedback to blizzard. Which is what I was hoping for with this post, but this works better. Thank you so much!
If you’re on the progress of giving feedback anyway, here’s my master list of suggestions macro since it’s coming back a lot;
Proposals so far include but not limited to:
- “Just remove it” The darkest times will come back again
- “Reduced cooldowns stacking upwards” so that if you aren’t kicked often, it starts with a minor debuff.
- “Reduced cooldowns, stacking downwards” so if you’re in a “good” party, then when they surprisepikachu kick you at the end the cooldown is lower.
- “Warning before Debuff” - When you get removed from dungeon you get a Warning but allows you to requeue, if you get kicked again you get debuffed on subsequent leaves.
- “Add reporting for kicking” - This is akin FF where they investigate if someone is really, really using votekick so often and gets reported for it that often as well. WoW used to do this.
If you have a proper suggestion, you may submit it through the ingame feedback box. I also would like to know to see if the suggestion can be improved making it into a better experience for everyone involved.

I wish I had the confidence to believe that being kicked from groups this frequently cannot be an issue with me, but instead everybody else. It must be a blissful life.

Play at times when you most likely won’t need to answer the door and prioritise the dog before you play WoW.
My dog gets three walks a day (split between my partner and I) and plenty of garden time, its rare she bothers me to go out unless she’s feeling ill.
That’s not always true, there are some players out there who are simply fine with flagrantly insulting others.
Imagine it’s your friend initiating the VTK

when i was doing timewalking dungeons i was in a premade group, we only needed a random tank. and my god my personal group were like “omg this tank aaaa” i was also dieing but im safe <3 but i can see how stressing it is for a pug to join a dungeon
Judging by the number of them I would infer that there is an untick in this behaviour. Social Norms have changed in grouped content. It is no longer co-operative in the way it used to be. Kicking seems to be happening at the drop of a hat.
It can be seen in the PuG scene just now that random grouping is no longer a social activity.
so it’s ok for people to have to clear the dungeon without you? Just do what you need to do first
