3080 rtx build recommendations

Hi I would like some recommendations for a new setting with 3080 rtx .Any monitor too that would be awesome with this graphic card ,would be nice to know :smiley:thanks in advance !

Among displays it’s either ultrawide 3440x1440, 4K or 1440p with fast refresh rate. If budget is not limited then the first two also can be fast refresh rate.

Aside of that I would wait for Zen 3 announcement with early next month and picking a 8-10 core part after benchmarks. 16+GB of RAM at some nice frequency, SSD, B550 or X570 motherboard.

Thank you ,from those 2 screens which would you go with ? LG 27GL850-B 27 Inch Or Gigabyte FI27Q-P 27"

I got the LG myself and can vouch for it, awesome gaming display.

i would add, if you want 4k screen go for 30+ inch.

I got 30inch, thought would be enough
but now i want even bigger XD

Be careful getting 3080’s right now, especially from AIB’s as some have gone too cheap on the power regulators found behind the GPU, making the cards unreliable due to electrical noise.

Some makers have not met Nvidia’s minimal tech specs and went below that. It would seem that some makers will be bringing out a firmware/bios update to slow these cards a bit so that this won’t be an issue.

Safe cards right now are the Founders Edition and Asus TUF 3080 which uses over spec power regulation components so shouldn’t have an issue.

So yeah, right now the 3080 and some 3090’s from AIB’s may be problematic.

THIS

Avoid it, it’s not “maybe” they are problematic.

As of the driver update seems mostly fixed. Before they are in stock it should be “rock solid”

Think you’re the only person that suggests FE version of any NVIDIA gpu I’ve ever seen xd

Well, nvidia messed up again, but seeing it being sorted out but maybe next time they should give AIB’s more time to prepare.

I can see why XFX left to stick with AMD/Radeon back in the day.
