This pretty much. You have toxic people like Dottie who will defend numerous bad changes just because they don’t affect them. There’s no solidarity or “neutral views”, just some toxic people who enjoy seeing others get inconvenienced.

If you want to pay month by month without a subscription so every month you are able to manually choose to keep paying or quit you could also do that with 30 days subscription.
1 - Pay a 30 days subscription
2 - As soon as you have paid the first month of the subcription cancel it.
3 - 30 days later when the days already payed from your already cancelled subscription expire if you want to quit just do nothing, if you want to play another month go back to point 1 and repeat.

See that’s why I just sell boe’s and buy gametime through tokens. They are relatively easy to farm with groups so it won’t take up much of your play time. A week or so at most. This way you play for free. I haven’t spent actual money on WoW for about a year now using this method. This way I won’t have to actively unsub, I’ll just let it run out if I ever get bored.
EDIT: In my own humble opinion, buying a sub is not advised.
I dislike this being removed. Why:
I am currently unemployed, I can’t subscribe (as most unaffected people keep saying) because I don’t have the 100% secured money for next purchase. I get money sometimes and put it on my card. That’s 99% of situations. I don’t want to be in a situation where I might need money for something IRL and I don’t have it because the subscription automatically took my money.
Basically, sometimes I pay for my game time on my own (by putting money on my credit card) or sometimes I ask one of my family members to use their card and give them 13 euros in cash. I get it, right now it shouldn’t matter because it’s 26 euros every 2 months instead of 13 euros every month. I don’t want to be in a situation where I’ll need to ask someone to give me 26 euros from their credit card.
Sadly, I guess I’ll need to get used to it, but what I’m saying is that Blizzard kinda ruined my monthly money spending plan a bit. I just liked the 30-day option for 13 euros more than this and I just can’t understand what made them change this after years of same system. Do they need more secured active accounts that had to pay more than usual? Also, gold is not an option for me.

If you cannot afford the game, then maybe its time to quit or play another free game. This may sound harsh but there is nothing anyone can do about the changes. If I was unemployed, paying for WOW would be the last thing on my mind if I were you having a roof over my head and eating would be my 2 main priorities if I were in your situation.

Everyone has been affected in the last 15 months or maybe you just forgot there is an ongoing massive killing pandemic .
I’m not saying I can’t afford it. I’m just saying I like organizing my money the way I was organizing it for years. My situation is not bad as it might sound. I am not furious about this, just confused about the decision.
I’m talking about the people with active subscription

Rigth about what ? were was your support for UK months ago when this happened to us ? where was the support for UK when there subs got increaesed ?

I was looking for answer to why would they do this, instead you decided to bring pandemic into the discussion. I was in exact same position when I was in high school so I will repeat again: I like organizing my money, BUT right now they made it A BIT harder for absolutely no reason. Yes, there are other options to “pay”, but the system I was using for YEARS suited me the best because of my situation. Again, this has NOTHING to do with pandemic.

It just keeps amazing me how I keep asking for an answer to WHY would they change this, yet you keep avoiding that and keep saying that I feel like I’m the only person affected. Just answer me, how does me saying “I’m suffering” (which I said I was) is exactly the same as the pandemic and economy for Blizzard in this particular situation?
I am not from UK, I was not affected by that. If you turned on your computer and saw my country having changes (by Blizzard) would you rush to forums and burst your rage to Blizzard? Let’s be real please. Of course I thought how unnecessary it was, but I don’t understand what does that have to do with me saying I don’t like this change now?

Must be because of this haha. It wasn’t towards you, but you just proved that you’re toxic as well because you keep twisting the discussion into something that has absolutely no connection to the current situation and made it even worse than someone from above who hasn’t said much, but just had short answers. I know this will make you more mad and you still can’t reply with a normal answer to the question: Why would they change it? Also to add again: I am not MAD about it, just confused. And I absolutely know I’ll have to get used to these changes.
