i know the answer is 99% no, but does anyone know if there any changes that are due to be made regarding the cost of 4000 gold for 310%, or 280% flying anytime soon?
i only ask this as a lot of my alts (about a dozen now) are close to that point where they have made 4K by themselves and im wondering should i buy this now or wait.
4k is nothing compared to what you get now. Considering flying will be disabled in most expansion until your each cap and by then you’ve moved on to the latest it’s not an issue.
well considering we can make 2000g from a single quest or 5000g from exhalted reps every 10k above exhalted money really isn’t a big deal.
It should be obvious given the cost of a single bonus roll coin at 2000g that Blizzard don’t consider that to be a lot of gold for players.
Personally as an absolute slacker I’ve made just shy of 1 million gold since the start of BFA, I can honestly say that is without even trying that hard.
Were I to put in some actual effort I suspect I could have made considerably more than that to the tune of 7-10 million.
but I’m a hell of a slacker so I only do the bare minimum.
I got mine for free back when there was an achievement for it. I think it involved finishing all of the world event achievements. You got a drake of some kind and free 310% flying for that character.
I don’t like the price of 280% or 380% mount speed bcoz I can’t earn such gold in process of lvling as a new player.
60% ground mount speed - can be purchased
100% ground mount speed - can be purchased
150% flying mount speed - can be purchased
Those things any one can do with just lvling however they please.
It’s suppose to be something to aspire to and work for.
It’s not too much gold for a new player at all.
I make thousands of gold through each expansions levelling process, more than enough to purchase flying.
It’s simply just fine as it is, some may argue it’s too cheap but it’s not going to change as it’s the top tier of flying, you can still fly before that one.
Only if you are playing with closed eyes…As others said, run an older raid and you got your money. While not as good as MoP or WoD ones, Classic, BC and Wrath are easy enough to run through.
4k is nothing, even for new players who have the ability to read and get better.
but some of the comments here. making 1M with no effort? im sorry, but there are no CONSISTANT ways of making gold this expansion. they have all been removed as blizz wants to try get rid of the excess gold.
it has ALREADY been stated that the 2K emisary quest is to offset people buying coins. didn’t know about the 5K paragon reward, but in an expansion with the worst rep gains ever thats not an avenue. the best mission reward has been about 250g, with about 150 as bonus. and the IE reward again will be random.
i have barely moved in the amount of gold i have made since BfA started. maybe 300K.
the only CONSISTANT way to make gold without playing the AH is as some have mentioned above, is to run MoP raids. but that takes lots of time. (SoO over an hour.)
and i only asked cause i have so many alts. all 14 or my horde have 310% and lvl 3 garrison, but now im looking at my alliance toons, so thats another 14. it adds up, and i dont have a main on my alliance server than can just give out “free” gold .
anyway, the answer was no. so thank you, and topic over.
purple proto drake from doing all the world event quests back in WotLK.
you remember 150? Well you’re lucky because i remember suffering months with the 60% because flying was too expensive…
On that note though… even though was way quicker using the standard mount i was always flying. i loved it. Yes i’m using past as i don’t have legion flying nor BFA.
while professions are viable depending on which one, and the time in the expansion, AH is not because you need to know how to play the AH. and the AH has its own internal mechanisms of people buying out low stock to vastly increase its value etc etc.
i even said that in the 5th paragraph:
all of the “millionaires” in WoW have used the AH to get their wealth cause they can play it and well done to them. however, WoD and Legion brought about ways to make lots of gold without playing the AH.
so again i say, without playing the AH, there are no consistent ways to make gold outside of MoP raids.
So you are going to ignore the one way that you are suppose to make large sums of gold in an online game to fit your narrative?
Yes I fall into the category of millionaires in WoW with a grand total of 65 million or there abouts earned over 14 years. And I still say this best way to make money in the game is via professions and the AH.
Oh and MOP raids aren’t the only ones, you can do Wolk raids, WoD raids as well, I can solo those on my mage.
I can also earn thousands of gold via world quests every day excluding the emissary quests.
Please tell us more about how ignoring fundamentally easy ways to make money to fit a narrative is valid?
