32" 144hx FHD Monitor for wow?

Does a 32inch monitor work for wow?

The monitor I am looking at is the AOC C32G1 32-Inch Curved MVA 144hz Monitor. If not I would go for a 27inch MSI Optix.

Does anyone have any experience playing WoW on a 32inch monitor, running a Ryzen 2700x and 2070 build.

Thanks

I play on a 34 inch Acer Predator 100 Hz 3440X1440 monitor.

CPU is 4770k Haswell and GPU is GTX 1080.

I play wow at 60 HZ though. No discernible difference between 60 and 100 HZ as this isn’t Crysis.

My concern was more the screen size, does the size take away from the gameplay or fps? Just worried about the 32inch being overkill for wow?

To the contrary, 3440X1440 Widescreen and Curved looks awesome in WoW.

You will gain real-estate size too to left and right of the classic aspect ratio screen.

I highly recommend big screens for WoW and more specifically widescreens like my own.

The exact model is Acer Predator X34 3440x1440 curved widescreen monitor.

Get a curved ultrawide

My current screen is a 43″ 32:10 aspect best monitor I’ve ever had

But 34/35″ Curved ulrrawide is also very cool for gaming

I wouldn’t worry about the size of the screen, you can move ui elements freely in this game with addons.

With other games tho, turning your head to the left to see your hp and having to turn your head to right to see your ammo doesn’t feel so good

Hey Vampzy, I use that screen, it works great for WoW, the game looks amazing tbh. I don’t have the same graphic card as you, but that shouldn’t matter. Not sure about other type of games, but I don’t see why it would be any different.

It should be fine for WoW. My only concern with buying a monitor of that size with a relatively low resolution (1920x1080) is that the image would look a bit washed out.

A 2070 is probably overkill for 1080p gaming though.

I would look at monitors with a higher resolution and a lower refresh rate, provided you aren’t planning on playing a lot of fast games like FPS on it where the higher refresh gives you a bit of an edge.

I use an Alienware AW3418DW paired with a 1080ti myself and it is pretty grand, but also total overkill for WoW.

I have the same screen resolution on a much much weaker GPU and WoW works fine

That’s quite a low resolution for a big screen… Pixels will be chunky.
