37th Penal Company

The Thirty Seventh Alliance’s Penal Company was formed by an order of Regent and Protector of the Realm, Lord Commander Turalyon, serving as such during the absence of High King Anduin Wrynn.

Following the recent events in Icecrown, the Knights of the Order of the Silver Hand approached the Lord Commander Turalyon to summon troops to help restore order in Northrend. There are rumors that the “torn sky” heralds the return of the Lich King.

The 37th Penal Company has been set up for this very purpose, stationed at the Argent Tournament Grounds to assist the Order of the Silver Hand in keeping peace on the northern continent.

All inmates at The Stockades can decide to pay off their crimes by fulfilling a contract under the Thirty-Seventh Penal Company banner.

In addition, the company is also willing to pay volunteers for service, although each of its members, regardless of what kind of, or even if committed any crimes, will be treated equally.

-Without it’s master’s command the restless Scourge will become an even greater threat to this world. Control must be maintained. There must always be a Lich King.

- You will not be forgotten, brother.
- I must be forgotten Tirion. If the world is to live free from the tyranny of fear, they must never know what was done here today. Tell them only that the Lich King is dead, and that Bolvar Fordragon died with him.
Now go, leave this place and never return.

As was said in Fall of the Lich King Cinematic, the world shall never learn what actually happened at Icecrown Citadel after death of Arthas. As we aim to portray rather normal characters than Champions of Azeroth, most if not every single one of us would not know what actually happened in there, and what’s happening there now.

The fact is, that with Helm of Domination destroyed, and Bolvar Fordragon being gone in Shadowlands at the moment, the scourge on Azeroth is under no one’s supervision, and should be going crazy to plague the world. Our job is to keep it as it was to this very day, and fight the scourge at its core.

Sure, there’s lore precedent for these things and it wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume this largely ignored (by the writers) zombie apocalypse would push Stormwind into using another batch of convicts as cannon/zombie fodder.

Finally someone actually paid attention to and used this as a sensible lore driven project + fact of using Penal Company that composes mostly of inmates is questionable at first but the more you think about it, more unique it looks like. Simply because your niche is currently quite and quite free and it gives an opportunity to criminals to redeem themselves.

All in all, support the idea! :+1:
