greetings,
i tried to play 3’s today with my friends at this saturday noon but we could not get any quick games. we were about 12 min or more in queue to get a match. we are around 1800 rating in 3’s which is around rival and shouldn’t be a problem(?).
over the last weeks we tried to queue during the week but we have different time schedules. we can mostly play on the weekends. we encountered this problem multiple times but its getting worse. it seems like at this rating is nobody playing? i guess we cant get to high teams (2000+) but we also cant get more casual teams (±1600).
what is a good time to queue 3’s? it seems like the bracket isnt popular
Season 3 changes things up a bit. Makes more classes viable.
But i’m not sure if Blizzard have implimented their inflation system on TBC. In (most) retail seasons they allow people who play to inflate their rating by around 10 points per week, the idea being to dislodge people who farming to high rating early then stop queuing (effectively breaking the MMR system for the reset of the season).
At the start of shadowlands we saw this inflation system removed, and it resulted in 1800 rating putting people in the top 10% of players, and 2k rating being the top 2%. It was wild.
It’s also VERY dependant on the day of the week. Not all PVP’ers are pure PVP. They raid too. Wrath Dual Spec means more queuing at random times.
I know i can spend i can spend 50g to respec on tuesday, then go games tuesday+wednesday and that’s 2 weeks of games done. Then i can respec for 50g to PVE for 2 weeks. Cuts respec costs in half.
