4 out of 6 healing specs are "excluded" from Solo shuffle

So much fun playing 6 rounds against dudu/dragon every game, some healers have bad mobility, bad mana, have to cast a lot and have a laughable throughput. Meanwhile others have everything. It’s not enough that healing is already miserable because of Mortal Strike, dampening, totally obnoxious cc/lockouts and dmg from certain dps classes, nope, 4 out of 6 healers are basically excluded from the mode. “HuRr DuRr We ArE tHiNkInG aBoUt WaYs To MaKe HeAlInG mOrE aTtRaCtIvE” - no, you don’t.

Hope this mode dies off entirely because of queue times and leavers.

The only way to make healing more fun is to reduce overall dmg. Specially burst. Ping pong I blinked and you died is not fun.

Also dampening needs rework. It’s not fun being instantly nerfed by 30%…

tbf in mop healers did something like 80% less healing compared to “normal” before people started dying and people loved that expansion.

as for this, I agree with nerfing all the 1 shotting abilities because those aren’t fun, but I quite like the overall pace even as someone playing a healer with absolute dogwater throughput. I’d love for them to just bring up the remaining healers not named rdruid/evoker a bit to help deal with the pressure, especially with dampening being so prevalent this expansion.

but I do not want them to nerf all damage again and return to bfa/slands style gameplay of playing for mana and dampening as a disc priest because half the time that was the required win condition

Why do we even need dampening? Are healers actually too strong or is it rather self healing and self sustain and defensives of dps specs that can drag games out for so long? Well, that could be adressed, right…

And the other problem is that its all about burst and go’s. Too many multipliers in the game. Should be significantly reduced and instead increase base dmg so you dont hit like a wet noodle inbetween cooldowns

I haven’t played vs single MW. Disc/Dru/Dragon only.

Some times it feels great, but it just has 2 many counters and unlike dragons, if my idiot team decides to line for no reason at all, the enemy is at a 100% I can not go in melee range like a dragon and top them all. Also I don’t have hots that tick for 15k/sec

You are way to dependent on the comp/team mates.

I think that the current system tries to avoid mirror matches (not by all means ofc but it certainly tries to avoid putting the same spec more than once into a game), I did read about that somewhere and it does exactly match my observations very well (not only for the healer specs but also for dps). Which makes things even more ridiculous. Reward people for playing a meta spec because they don’t have to fight mirrors…

No, on my resto druid I play vs other resto druids, but I think it might be kind of true for DPS, even tough earlyer I played with double hunter.

Why are they excludet? I saw more Priests, MW and Paladins then Evoker

You won’t have a healer then, or an enemy, so your social behavior is very self destructive

I am surprised they did not touch resto druid in the latest patch notes. Prevoker need is also meaningless in Solo shuffle where mana is not a big deal.

Looking at paper, healerspecs are just flavors,

In 2v2 both Druid and MW have potential for crown, if we talk about perfection.

Paladin is good in 3v3 and bad in 2v2

Preservation,Disc and Shaman are strong played agessively

HPriest seems to be lacking, because they can’t interrupt me and do less healing then me.

At the end healer specs are flavors and muscles, but i guess any cancelled spec learned something for his life out of this

i think they’re waiting until every1 get their tier set, rdruid one is completely useless and for many healers its pretty good

Mop has the best PvP ever in 5.4. The most fun time for both healers and dps. It was debuff called battle fatigue that reduced all healing in PvP by 60% for healers and dpsers. It was needed debuff because even with that healers were undying. They could top off ppl very fast, they got good mobility (all healers had good mobility in mop). I mean, drafonflight is the most unfun expansion for healers and mop was very fun. You felt insanely strong as healer even with that debuff. And dps specs didn’t have SO much self-healing according to that debuff (some specs need that debuff atm…)

Yes, the described situations happened only at the very-very top.
People had multiple meaningful def cds so if they rotated them perfectly the game was in an endless loop, felt scripted but it also made you feel like you had an impact and every mistake needed a cd trade.
It was good.
This is how it worked:

From 1:22:00, Cdew is not a human being.

8% crit on hots is really not a bad thing.

Neither is the reduced CD on swiftness

Just reduce prevoker and rddruid by 30% and remove dampening. Solved.
