Blizz are always reluctant to add more, which is disappointing. Last time their argument was that it forces people to collect but it doesn’t. I know there are 500 PvP honor levels. There is a reason that I only have 100 ish levels. It’s not an aspect of the game I enjoy.
I don’t believe a mount achievement forces people into collecting.
I don’t care about PvP so I don’t farm honor levels which was my point, that just because achievements exist it doesn’t make it compulsory to go and do them.
I hit 650 on the mount tab this week, there should be something every 50 really. It is a nice reward for putting a little bit of effort in and sometimes winning the rng lottery. (I feel like I have spent the majority of the last 5 years waiting for sha of anger to spawn)
Even if it just a title – “the collector” would also be cool - a number of toys, mounts and pets needed to get that
Considering how low effort it would take (since all of them are just recolors anyway), its pretty sad to see and speaks volumes about how blizz feels about collector players in the game tbh.
Collectables are the only permanence in the game, they should celebrate collectors and value their efforts. We are often the ones playing at the end of patches, chasing those last mounts that allude us whist the raiders etc are taking a time out until next content drop.
It’s not sad at all. There is already enough rubbish you can collect. Like everyone else, you seem unhappy when you can’t live in the game and have fun. Take a break, chill, visit family and friends, get smashed and lose a shoe in a field somewhere…
We don’t want you spending all your time trying to reach a distant goal…oh here are another set of re-coloured mounts with a 0.005% drop chance…but please don’t spend all your time farming them…
I dont get this argument at all. Is this a therapy session? I have pretty busy life outside of the game and i dont mind taking breaks, i took many short and long ones. And none of that matters in this discussion.
This is a game forum, i am merely pointing out there are parts of the game that are, pretty much unfinished or missing and by doing so hoping they might fix that.
And btw, you’ll need to run through the Covenant Campaign 16 times to collect all the 9.0 tmog sets. Did we say we were going to remove that requirement? Oh sorry, we left it in because reasons nothing to do with wanting players to play more.
Exactly what happened, and I would say it’s just a poor excuse, and that thereal reason is tied to their laziness. Do you remember the outrage people had when 350 and 400 mounts were introduced? It actually forced them to switch them to the ones we have now, because the 350/400 were such stupid recolours.
On the other hand, if they create something WE DESERVE (aka something really unique for such a high number, especially above 500), that would happen if you ask me. Although I see no real reasons why the 450 500 550 600 650 rewards are not yet in place, since I believe us mount collectors are the most loyal customer base for them. You can theoretically get gladiator / top end PVE mounts (Vengeance) within 1 expansion, but it’s impossible to get more than 500 mounts within 1 year (maybe possible if extremly lucky or if you can legit play wow 24/7).
Not trying to be a dick, just to clarify something for you. You hit 650 account mounts, according to Simplearmory you have 589 unique (which is still a very impressive collection, don’t get me wrong). It’s just that some people mix what’s account wide / unique mounts.
Not saying it is right but they never said they would remove the requirement, the player base assumed it. Yes it could have been communicated better but they never said it*
*I’m still waiting for 3 or 4 posters to show the ‘proof’ they did.
It sucks and I feel it should be removed but it looks like it isn’t. I am one of those doing it 16 times btw.
