Class Tuning Incoming – 20 December

After closely monitoring data on class performance as well as player feedback, we’ve developed the following adjustments to classes that are over- and under-performing in group content and PvP. These changes will go into effect with scheduled weekly maintenance in each region.

Classes

    • Havoc
      • Collective Anguish (talent) damage from summoned Fel Devastation reduced by 10%.

    • Windwalker
    • Developers’ notes: We continue to keep an eye on Windwalker damage, and feel they need a second incremental improvement to their relative performance. This round of tuning focuses on payoff for successfully executing the bonus effects of the Mystic Heron’s Discipline tier set, as well as increasing the damage of rotational Chi spenders in Rising Sun Kick and Fists of Fury.
      • Spinning Crane Kick damage increased by 20%.

Ok, that’s cool and all.

The problem is, that our tier set is still complete and total garbage.

What I don’t get is the holy priest buffs.

Why are renew and prayer of healing(in m+) not worth pressing? Why are they even abilities if they’re not gonna be worth pressing?

Once again nothing for dks, please just announce a complete rework for them already.

This is indeed true. The Destro tier set needs to be reviewed and worked on again.

Bring back destro of the good old days! Demo is just so boring and it pains me each time I have to use that spec

Demo is fun.
But i still want destro to be great

No reworks until TWW, they confirmed it

I’m sure it’s indeed fun for many, but me personally, I just don’t like it >_<

Not sure why, just never found it interesting.

It’s different damage profiles i guess, so what clicks for one won’t click for another.
Demo is about setup and then dealing damage, destro is about consistent bursts of damage

What about disc priest? Where are the nerfs ? EVERY SHUFFLE GAME I FACE DISC PRIESTS!!!
Every 2v2 game - disc priest, every 3v3 game - disc priest. Hello?

only change in the category “tanks”

sad tbh, if you see which classes are played most right now, because the dungeons need so much kicks/grips plus tanks with rly high self healing are just better.

i mean, it’s all abilities.
Doesn’t seem too bad?

Almost every ret tuning since the rework was a minor all dmg % change.
I find it hard to believe that there’s a single person at Blizzard HQ who genuinely cares about this spec, or even understands how it works, and what are the problems that still plagues it. So they always just slap an aura buff onto it and call it a day.
Idk what else to say that I haven’t said already on the paladin forum. It’s just sad.

You really want to balance a class around legendary i guess ? Gj balancing around low drop rate while ignoring core problems. Thx for nothing again

absolute laughter of a spec we ferals are.
We only had to wait 1 whole year or 3 game seasons of saturated feedback/critique @forum on regrowth to get it unnerfed.
thanks, maybe we can get Frenzied Regen back next year ?
Why is feral years behind in terms of design ?

i log in once a week do the world boss and some wq and then see you next week and this will stay like this until the warlock aff spec get’s to be a really dot spec once again until then it will mainly be classic where aff is still a dot spec.

Cool atleast ww wont be trash anymore.

How about:

  • survability buff for hunters in general,
  • proper ultility for all hunters, some aoe stops, rework on binding arrow to be instant same as Wailing Arrow and put this one to general tree, make some work on useless hunter general talents like Sentinel Owl to work with hunter’s mark,
  • survival rework specially cordinated assault talent and need of macros to get proper value, not so many choices in right side to be picked up to boost more aoe dmg, too many talents focused on raptor strike,
  • feral aoe changes, more focus on some front dmg (buffs),
  • ret st changes (buffing st + changes to st (aoe oriented talents), mastery scalling,

And plenty more things to do. Not only in dmg department. Classes like hunter need complete overhaul of general tree to be more on time with other classes. Cds on deffensives abilities are out of touch like 2.4m talented 40% dr i mean sure if this was classic but in this m+ season you need like 20 cds for each ability to not get one shot on m+ specially tyranical weeks 25+.

Hope so Hunters will get finally someone who cares and make good talent trees rework this time.

Another round of gentle nerfs and buffs. It’s laughable, really. Especially those 3% changes.
At least they did something for WW and shadow priest.
Still no clue what they are thinking with resto shaman. The set bonus is awful. Does like 2% of my healing (m+). Increasing the base riptide healing from a talent we can’t take and buffing surge again is like… why? We will go oom if we spam surges to apply the set bonus that heals for nothing. Cloudburst is the only thing keeping us afloat with perfect play required. Then they buff healing stream. You are getting laughed outta the room here guys.
Just buff that set bonus to actually be worth 5% healing like the other healers. That would be a start. Man… i wish we could’ve kept the set from last season that made casting healing rain not be a complete waste of mana

The only thing hunter need is nerf.
