5-10 seconds freeze after loading screen

The game freezes for 5-10 seconds after a loading screen. Doesn’t happen all the time, but can happen when first logging in, or after using the hearthstone, portal, etc. Appeared just two days ago

for me since yesterday after the Windows 11 update… every now and then after I alt tab and look at something else I go back into the game sometimes it freezes for a few seconds…

Hi guys, after checking your post, it reminded that a previous freeze from the start of the war within. If you go to your guild “info” tab, and click on “Click to set news filters”, there’s a lot of checked boxes. if you uncheck them, it fixed my freeezes each time i was loading a new instances. I previosuly unchecked them all, but it seems Blizzard re-enabled them automaticly with a server/game update. Hope it will help ! Cheers !

Yes, I confirm. Found about 3 days ago. After the loading screen, the game freezes.

no guys it’s a problem with the latest windows update

• [ALT + Tab] Fixed: The screen goes black on some PCs for a few seconds when you switch between certain windows.
  World of warcraft is damn near unplayable at times since the update (on a Fresh install of windows, not an in-place update) - and I don’t have crap hardware, 5800X3D, 3080, etc…

There is something fundimentally Broken with gaming on 24h2.

Alt+Tabbing into any other app just makes it worse. WoW repeatedly freezes momentarily, when looking at discord, spotify, chrome OR firefox, running with hardware acceleration on.

I don’t know if this is true as I am using Windows 10 and had this issue aswell.
Tried to disable all addons, it helped but for a bit.

Thanks, this fixed the issue for me. It seems there’s some strange interaction with guild filters.
