5 years break and raid loot

Hello everyone

I see so many people roll on item and try to sell it raid. Can someone please explain to me what is this? and why blizzard not doing anything about loot system? Thank you.

They changed it so that it’s always Group Loot, and some parts of the community decided if the game lets you press need, that’s all that matters. Some more parts of the community then realized they could either behave the same way, or enjoy pass buttons with different icons, or stop pugging altogether. Up to you which camp you want to be in.

When players receive a loot item, they could optionally sell it off. Some are more malicious and attempt to need on everything for the only purpose of selling.

But they did, you said you had a 5 years break right? Around that time we may still have had Lootmaster and Personal Loot. Because of feedback from the community, it was changed to GL.

Now the same people demand it to be changed back to PL. This would not really reduce selling, because if they get items they can sell they will. But it may increase the amount of useful gear it drops towards players.

The same people who don’t get drops though will still whine again that it won’t be a good drop system tho.

People complain because, as usual, Blizzard implemented it piss poor. I have no idea why they aren’t able to spend an extra 2 hours discussion about the most basic of designs/functions.

Need is Need. You declared that you need it. How does it suddenly become vendor-trash if you win it? Items won through need should never be trade-able. Neither the ones won through transmog rolls.

The only items, which should be tradeable, are greed rolls.

Not a difficult concept. We might see some improvements by 2032.

I didn’t complain about PL (at least not in the direction of “I’d rather have GL”), I was concerned about getting GL for some of the reasons I’m seeing and now I’m detesting it for reasons I hadn’t even imagined would become reality. If we went back to PL I would not be complaining.

I also disagreed moving loot systems because I didn’t think it’d solve the core of player dissatisfaction (not receiving loot) but yea, here we are.

I want personal loot without trade option. I think that would be the best system ever. Delves clearly demonstrated it.

It would prevent someone who doesn’t need the gear at all anymore to trade it (for free) to others though. They would perhaps not even queue up for LFR anymore lowering the player pool there.

Good lord would I hate this with every fibre of my being. Honestly might make playing organised group content unbearable.

I talk about PuG. Although I’d prefer it for organized as well, but that’s debatable.

Being able to trade items around once they drop is so incredibly important, especially because there’s other sources of gear like mythic+ meaning a person might not need any item from the raid on that slot.

The number of items you’d loot that would just be wasted because the person who looted it didn’t need it.
