Can you all join more random BGs, it’s kinda sad seeing 0 games ever like for weeks now.

People all abandoned BG’s because of the bots, if the bots are gone (I don’t know?) then that’s cool but they already killed casual PvP and Blizzard did nothing about it.

Bots are still alive and kicking in the battlegrounds. I rarely get into a bg without any bots and usually there is 2-3 bots on my team. Mostly death knights but sometimes paladins or rogues. Blizzard keep sending automated in-game mails telling me they ban accounts I and others have reported, but bots keep returning 
That’s my experience from playing a couple of bgs every day; sometimes fewer sometimes more if I don’t get the daily quest done on the first attempt.

Is it just the AV you missing? Eots, wsg & ab have reasonably fast ques 60-79 even outside the bg weekends.
Low level BGs are horrible to play and most of the playerbase was funelled to max level long time ago. No wonder they are dead.
Oh wow and is it fun or what to have the entire 50+ wsg/ab bracket full of nolife sad 59 outland twinks that one shot you in their 1k dps insta setups while u only have 2k hp at 50 and they at 6000.
Could have left this cancer out of the “classic experience”.

People play for rewards, There are no rewards for playing AV 50-79 besides a tiny bit of honor and xp.

You answered your own question why 50-79 bgs are dead. You either face dk bots or twinks

You can avoid them for free by simply hitting max level.
Ofcourse players farming low level BGs are twinks. Thats the entire purpose of that bracket lol.
I do not do PvP - never did, never will. Not even to plaese you, sorry-.
