50% exp increase

Right, most even on how to and how it works
Us wanting to remove it mostly made no threads, but just asked in the existing ones
Mostly in this one: Joyous Journeys – Summer XP Buff Event

Buy boosts or petition Blizzard to let you buy more boosts then, don’t drag those who enjoy other parts of the game down with you.

That… is the point. They’re empty now. With RDF? Not so much.

What other parts? The only things that even hold some relevance during leveling outside of questing are dungeons (as they also are part of leveling) and Battlegrounds where I generally die fast since my gear and talents are build to kill mobs and hold aggro and not fend of other players. And I’m still away from obtaining gold for second spec so there’s that. Professions are side grind which doesn’t pay as much unless it’s one of gathering ones as anything else you can make falls into irrelevancy. Same with general farming and grinding rep as the rewards fall off hard.

Goldshire Inn ERP for all I care, as long as people enjoy it they should be able to do it as long as it’s not obvious griefing.

And how does increase of EXP blocks that?

Honestly WoW suffers from a bad case of lacking future proofing the content. There’s no reason to run old raids or hunt the rare recipes or do the long involved quest chains simply because all you get is either gear or gold. Both of which you get plenty (and in case of gear better) in later parts. There’s no point in farming Argent Dawn Rep in Vanilla region cause even their enchantments won’t hold value for long.

Well I like professions, exploring, Quests, achievements … the game is for me fuul of thoings I still want to re-do, revisit - or even discover something new. I still do after around 100 characters

I really think that with this mindset:

you need to find another game or find a way to buy boosts.

Even that, although I do not care much for it myself … and talking forever on the bank steps in STW neither

Mining and enchantment. Reached as high level as I could since I have terrible luck finding Truesilver (seriously it’s always either Mythril or Thorium and Mythril can’t carry me to 240 needed for Thorium) and once again ran into bottleneck with enchantment components as those only keep getting more expensive and gear I find in leveling zones already disenchants into next tier.

Zones are not half bad I admit but quests themselves are just meh. Chains go unresolved and whenever I think something big will happen the chain just ends. It’s a shame since introductionary 20 levels as Blood Elf was one of a better crafted experiences I’ve seen striking a balance between telling coherent story via the quests while not being handholdy. Shame it didn’t carry on and even chains feel slightly less coherent to the point I actually stop paying attention at what they try to tell me. I understand why it is that way. Since most zones are shared my storyline on horde side directly contradicts what Alliance players experience. I murder down Hillsbrad, killing their mayor and burning their documents and they hamper forsaken forces. Ultimately the war need the current status quo. So all that’s really left in the end are rewards and EXP.

What? Who on earth is talking about increasing exp?

No kidding, anti RDFers are all about how “it’s good for the game to travel for literally 30 minutes to do Scarlet Monastery” though.

It’s clearly not.

I do not buy mats at AH, I am self-sufficient, so for me mats getting expensiver is no problem. I level alts to help in the things I cant do on my main, so I always level simultaneously “bands” of 4 to 6 characters.

I like fishing, and maxing that very fast, and cooking too. I often can cook way beyound what I can eat … and getting all in-game recipes is a challenge - once i have to level a Rogue just to have that blasted Thistle Tea

I love the quests in Classic - all the way from level 1 to Northrend (Northrend actually a bit less, but still), You can read the Quest descriptions and (mostly) know what to do. I like feeling like the small cog in the big plan and sometimes a hero. The Draenei Quests are gripping and funny at the same time. I love the thoughts anfd humour that has gone into the creation of all this.

In short I love playing Classic.

Good for you. My feelings are… Mixed. This Character I display is the only one I truly have (well there’s DK but that’s just because Blizzard kept remind me about them and the mount for retail you get) so those two are all I have. Mining I picked to admittedly make money I’d need in the future and since classic doesn’t allow for tracking multiple gatherables at once I picked enchanting reasoning that it’s self sufficient. Mistake in hindsight but I’ll get it to work. Leveling other character at the same time is out of question. I shudder to think how low myblevel would be if I tried to level two characters at once.

It’s really the feeling of lagging behind paired with the fact my last week was just “the loop” getting to me I guess.

Hehe yes. I am only level 56 on my highest toon as yet. But I have maxed Fishing and Cooking and miss only one recipie for Sous Chef (100 recipies), and am working hard on fishing achevements.
Played time almost 21 days, more then most need for level 80, as far as I have inderstood. But then I also level around 20 others in Wotl C. and more in Classic Era, and a couple in SoM. None of them are DK’s or Rogues or Undeads, else I play anything.

I am not afraid of getting behind - only for the “Only one may Rise” Quest - as I alway say that no matter how many has killed that boss, he drops the same loot with the same chances when I finally get there.
Unfortunately I have no characters on Nethergarde, as it is too full for my liking … This one is an Era toon, and has not been played since around TBCC.
And more, I have fun.

Soon I hope

Leveling is not the most fun part of the game and we are old now. We want to experience raids with different classes. It would be nice if leveling was faster or at least not so boring.

Level up in SoM and transfer.
You have a 100 % buff there - as long as it lasts.

And it will 100% kill classic, grtz!

I get that the things on my list such as world PvP are far from an ideal option due to various issues such as problems getting groups for low level dungeons (which is actually a case for implementing the RDF tool) and that world PvP isn’t very realistic etc.

But the point stands that these options do exist, even if sub-par. You asked for alternatives to questing, and I gave an accurate reply. You could technically do world PvP in Silithus or Plaguelands if you were an insane massochist with too much time on your hands, you could also join a raid group and attack a city or town.

You could wait for hours for your low level dungeon after spamming the chat channels, or you could do them with your guild.

These may be crap options, but they are still a thing.

Also I forgot to mention fishing, you could go fish!.. why are you looking at me like that?

But that’s beside the point, in fact I’d argue that it’s causative, and actually detracts from your main point.

Assuming that questing is the best option for low level play, and the most exciting thing to do at low level… why would we want it to be over more quickly?

Yeah, I get it, you want to get to the end game.

No need to be crass like that ;(

Why do you sound like you’re speaking for everyone? A very social media post. “We” don’t want to experience raids with different classes; raids are boring, long and boring, and repetitive. You speak of being old like raiding 12+ hours a week is good. Does experience mean looking at all at the tactics before doing the raid? Because that’s boring. Got all the raid gear? Then it’s boring.

I do like to start a fresh level 1. Pick up professions and enjoy my time, without any stress to reach max level or minmax my way through everything in order to be omega efficient because youtube said so.
50% or 0% extra xp doesn’t matter much to me.

Started a warrior a few days back, picked up mining and JC, lvling JC for free (except the time I pay for mining myself). I could easily send over 10k to this alt and lvl it through AH, but that takes away the fun of it for me.

Time wasted having fun is not wasted time, or something
