This buff is way way way too small… i have 0 interest of starting fresh wotlk server with this minor buff.
Why not make it so you get like 500% boost for your first toon and then like 300% for your second and 0% for third?
Vanilla/Tbc content is pure trash at this point and there is no “fun” factor leveling it through.
50% no thank you… 500% is still pain but maybe ill start playing.
As long as I can remove the buff - like now THANKS! - I’ll support this.
Don’t play a game that you dislike.
If you really want to play wotlk you can just buy the new 70 boost. But then again you have to level from 70-80. That might be rough if you can’t even level from 60-70 with a 50% XP buff and probably being rested also.
I guess the best advice is to not play a game that you dislike and just look for another game.
Yes im gonna look for another game for sure if it’s only 50%… so will many others. But is it something from you if i can levelup faster in fresh server? You are just one of those people from “infested” servers that makes this game disappear. Buying boosts are so classic ain’t it?
It’s 50% from all sources and it’s WoTLK pre-patch so both vanilla and TBC level ranges need less experience to level.
If you don’t slack but also not-overoptimize you can reach max level in around 5 days IRL with the help of the leveling wave which will run a lot of instances. And the prepatch will likely last around 4 weeks.
So you either level 3-4 toons to max or you focus on pre-gearing one or two with professions and resources to boost professions as soon as WoTLK hits.
Also note that the game poorly handles very large experience modifiers as you quickly outlevel given zones while still having limited gold and gear so you would be spending more runs in green/grey dungeon just to get the gold and gear to move next.
If you aren’t willing to spend the time levelling a character, you probably don’t have the time to play the game.
Retail has a really nice system where a minimal amount of effort each week gives good rewards, with diminishing returns with more time played.
Classic rewards you flat out for every hour you spend.
It doesn’t seem like you want to play an MMORPG.
What are you talking about? Im about to to play WOTLK, not vanilla/tbc. Im not gonna spend time for leveling thats for sure… atleast when there is an option to BUY your way up to lvl70. Your MMORPG is where you buy your XP?
These kind of arf´gunments is why I’ve alwys said Give heirlooms with 500 % XP buff - so that she can buy themand I can not buy them. As long as mylevelling joy is not riuined, what do I care if she ruins her own fun?
More frredom of choice!
Not really. Most of Classic vanilla, TBC and soon WoTLK is raidlogging. At minimum you have to farm some raw gold, or do some RMT to raidlogg without “farming”. Halfway through Classic vanilla people leveled only via dungeon boosts. There were few going for R14, mostly via shady or outright not allowed methods, but still, aside of that…
If you didn’t noticed Classic is heavily deranged
Not everyone plays like you and most people don’t care about quests and zones which we already seen. If people want to raidlogg they will, if they want to solo farm instances for 10K gold day/hour/nanosecond they will. That’s THEIR fun.
Someone gives you a 12-piece cake and you complain that you didn’t get nine additional 12-piece cakes (50% to 500% is ten times increase).
For real, for real. I’d never buy boost because I think it’s part of the experience for me to have to go through the painstaking leveling process. However, I’m totally fine with some skipping it almost completely. I really do get it, because I do complain and get frustrated with quests sending you to the other side of the zone, then back, and then back to the other side and the like. I complain, but the endurance is a challenge in itself (imagine more like someone playing Elden Ring complaining a lot about a boss, but then feels like he achieved something having killed the boss he was stuck on). To me it’s part of the fun, but it’s perfectly reasonable to not like it.
The boost service gets lots of hate from the community, but my main concern with this is having enough players around at max level. If I was you I’d work an extra hour or a few and just buy the boost instead (time spent will be much shorter).
No boosts of any kind. Everyone starting fresh from level 1 actually playing the game.
It’s going to be great!
nobody wants you on fresh if you think 50% exp buff is not good (too low). stay on your min max rush realm gdkp hell realms.
I would expect 50% of prepatch day 1 population to backtrack to existing realms to either boost or use existing character before the expansion even launches.
The actual dropoff ratio will likely impact future Classic vanilla seasons. The more people quit the more likely Season 2 will also have fast/very fast leveling, at least as an option
If lack of boosts is what kills the fresh servers I say let them burn.
If there aren’t enough people around who can summon the motivation to level their character (with a significant xp bonus) I’d rather know sooner than later.
come on, admitt it you are trolling? 50% is way too strong in an already easy leveling. Already without the buff and I have left so many quests that turned grey…
You’re assuming I’m for buying paid boosts.
Obviously not.
I’m also against fast leveling. If you want fast leveling and an instanced expérience you have retail.
I think 50% exp boost is ridiculous. It’s just to attract people to come back when there’s nothing else to do.
If you think pro Wotlk are here for the lvling you’re wrong.
They almost only care about Norfendre content.
Most people are for endgame content, but that’s irrelevant since this is an MMORPG and leveling is part of the content.
It is since they already lvluped 10 character over 10 years, knowing all maps all quests and no exploration discovering anymore and learned that lvling before Cataclysm is fkin boring because of Azeroth quests.
