500g repairs

Do you think this is acceptable in the current economy? If I didn't play the Auction House I would be broke by now, overral my passive gold income in BfA has been negative, meaning that my main isn't gaining gold, only my bank alt.

SUGGESTION: Award players ~60 gold per Island Expedition win. Seems fair?
i feel like any repairs you might accumulate outside of progression raiding easily are paid through doing the content available. Rated PvP alone gives a good 60g+ per win and that's not considering some of the random loot that either is gear or trade goods. Doing world quests often nets some amount of items to sell and there's the option of selectively going for gold WQ's as well, and M+ rarely turns into major wipefests to the degree where they're major gold sinks.

So in all i can't say i find any problems with the repairs just through the content i'm doing.

As it should be. We have a 5M mounts in game because it used to be positive for so long and gold served no purpose because it was abundant. Now it's back to where it should be, constantly depleting passively but easily available with little effort.
Put your hand in your pocket pay for a token on my server it's worth 175,000 odds I think. That will last quite some time.
go to do LFR in pandaria...1-2k per 30 mins fast
You can make 200k gold in 5-7 hours of farming.
There's a fair chance that if you didn't play the AH you would be able to afford your repairs... depending on what you're trying to sell.

Being able to make 200K for 5-7 hrs of farming may well be possible, but I wouldn't want to guarantee it to everyone who farms the same stuff.... there is such a thing as market saturation.

Only if you're on a busy server.

With TODAY'S economy I'm thankful we aren't paying 2-3k per for a full repair rather than just 500g.

You don't even need to "play the AH" to maintain that. Just playing the game at max level will suffice, unless of course you're intentionally always dying non stop.

In that case, it's not the price is the problem-- stop dying so much.

Passive income should always be positive. With gold constantly depleting we would end up with no gold after some time and no effort would change that.

yeah obvioulsy it sould be positive. I'm not advocating for the return of 3000+ gold missions, I just want to see my gold count go up a bit, or at least stay the same. By the way, I stoped playing pvp so I'm not getting the 70g per game anymore :(. Used to get like 700g a day doing that.

Dumbest advice ever. I mean that.

Pay RL cash to repair wow gear? I'm lost for words.

1) Why would you spend that long farming.

2) Farming what exactly?

Absolutely not. Everything costs so much in AH nowadays exactly because gold was constantly accumulating by just playing. This leads to poor experience on new characters and especially for new players. This has been shown countless times in the past, you need to have gold sinks or the in game economy turns for the worse constantly since gold is generated from thin air.

People are already walking around with multiple millions of gold after Legion because it was generated passively on multiple characters. This is why special mounts cost 5M, why repairs cost multiple hundreds etc. It needs to be checked, there's no way around it.
When u die make sure u are naked.

ty me later.
As someone who raids 5 times a week I'm struggling to keep up when it comes to gold. Aside from spending hours farming herbs each week I don't have a decent way of earning money in-game. What annoys me the most is that I can get more money from running a random heroic (Call to Arms reward) than I get from a full Heroic Uldir clear. It's insane! Given how expensive it is to buy consumables for raiding I'd like to see a lot higher gold reward from killing raid bosses.

On a similar note, why do you only get Augment runes from Call to Arms rewards and LFR? I get it, Blizzard want us raiders to go into LFR and LFD groups to carry their sorry asses but it's still bull!@#$. I'm sorry if I'm ranting but I'm sick of being "encouraged" (i.e. forced) to do content that I outgeared and lost interest in months ago. It's stupid and it results in players who get carried through content and never learn anything.
This could be a thing, as the old honor system has been removed a long long time ago this could be the next big thing like the honor titles were back then.

Add 20 different titles and the people who have spent most on repairs are in par of those titles.

Did.. oh.. I cannot... oh lawd.. did I just invented pointless, but voluntary money sink?

Also noticed this. During Legion, my passive gold income from actively doing WQs on just 3 chars was able to sustain 2 nights a week raiding.

This isn't happening anymore. A night of progress on a boss can easily cost 2000g+ in repair bills, channeled mana potions are 350g+ as well, flasks can be 2000g a piece. DPS have it even worse, pre-pot + infight pot can run 600g per pull.

Meanwhile I send this follower mission out that costs 2 WQs worth of war resources for ... 125g, with a bonus 125g possible. Or I do this WQ for .... 70g.

Weak
Call to Arms is due to imbalance in people playing roles. It's good money especially if you auction the runes. But it's kind of sad I rely on this. I'm not tanking unless Call to Arms. I'm not healing unless Call to Arms.

I'm not doing endgame anymore.
Why is repairing your gear still a thing.

It doesn’t add anything to the game, which it would if blacksmiths benefited from it, but they don’t, so all it is, is an annoyance.
