500mb update a day after a new patch

why is my bn client downloading 492MB of data at about 0.05MB / sec?

i have a 250Mb/sec net connection. Bliz can’t afford more bandwidth allow us to download a fix for yesterday’s patch?

I’m seeing the same. Can’t get into the game. Tried scanning game files - it did, and then started scanning again.

just need to wait i got into loading screen 1st time after it finished.

i think we just take this as another sign of complete competence on the part of bliz, as usual.

My Battlenet client has decided to download a 492.60Mb patch at around 0.05Mb/s. I don’t know what to say, what to do, what to think. This is tremendously frustrating and is just adding to yesterday’s downtime woes. What a complete SNAFU.

Was playing earlier today, but suddenly when logging back in now, I also need to download a 500mb patch, at the slowest speed possible…

Yawn

it has something to do with the ISP conflicting with blizz servers or something, I switched my VPN on and it downloaded it almost instantly

If it fixes the awful lag problems making the game unplayable they can do a patch of twice that for all i care. Ill just take one more night away from WoW. Nice to get into the habit for when my Sub runs out in November.
But if it dont fix anything i will be as pissed of as you

Oh look, another big patch day, another day of being unable to play the game. /Sigh

And don’t give me any flannel about “ISP” issues. I work in Ethernet Assurance, and have an FTTH ethernet assured router, everything else works fine, this seems to be an issue only with Battle.Net tunnelling and Blizzard games every major patch day.

I shouldn’t be expected to utilitize Spirit Tunnelling as a workaround to download a patch so I can play the game.

The problems started for me before the patch even hit

Usually downloading anything off the Battle.net laucher goes up to 50-70mb/s

Around 2-3 weeks ago, i tried to download overwatch to play with my sister and the speed was crawling. It goes up to 40mb/s and then down to 1mb/s and keeps changing, mostly staying on 1mb or less

Then i needed to reinstall WoW for reasons, thinking its all good now. It was the next morning when i lauched WoW again, after leaving it overnight to download.

Funny thing is, today i am using a mobile hotspot and the speeds are great, downloaded the 500mb patch almost instantly.

downloading 492 M of initialization-indexes, just to verify that i have no other file to download,…
great file system blizzard !

every single day 492 mb.
In the end when it stops downloading it says PAUSED under Play. My guess is it never save the patch permanently and that is the reason we have to download the patch every time we log on
This game is so broken.
