5.4 million gold per day?!

I was being nosy & was inspecting the statistics of random people when I stumbled across somebody with 5.4 million “average gold earned per day”, as per the image below (name hidden of course!)

That seemed like a crazy high sum to me - especially given I only inspected a few random people, which made me wonder… Is there anyone here who beats this figure?

Probably AH player

Demonstration that Puny does not play the AH or farm gold

From this image, I assume you once purchased the brutosaur and was left with just 4601 gold?

Interestingly the guy in the original screenshot could have purchased a brutosaur per day with that income!

Yes!!!

Oh how I hated trying to get all that gold together, but they were removing the mount.

Or someone that shifted gold around for a boosting community. Which would make this number actually peanuts given how much they used to and still are juggling around.

As far as AH players are concerned: Magicuz was sitting on 5 billion at the end of BFA.

He posted 75k auctions.

You still do it way better than me…

cries in 330k gold cap

Interestingly enough, not a single penny came from Goldshire because blood elves aren’t allowed there anyways.

Doubt I ever sold anything for more than 20k gold :smiling_face_with_tear:

What the… 5 billion. :flushed: My guess is, it has something to do with rare BoE mounts like the desert fox from Voldun or some good transmogs on say, AD.

And probably boosts for gold I take it?

“earned” is a bit of a misnomer.

If you buy a billion golds worth of stuff off the AH and then sell it for a billion and one gold then a billion a one gold is “earned” according to this. Really you’ve earned one gold (the difference between the two) but the game isn’t an accounting simulator so the nuance is lost.

That did slip my eyes actually.

But even if i take my 4.3k on my rogue and update them all the way up to where the guy in the screenshot is i wouldnt be anywhere close to the total gold acquired. Also it would require that if that gold is from auctions only that his auctions had an average sell value of 19943. I dont see this happening. Unless he was controlling the high price market such as the BoE Mythic one.

You would have lost 49.999.999 Gold because of the AH cut. ± couple silver because of the 5% on the 1G that i forgot.

I’m not sure if the “Auctions Posted” number includes unsold auctions, but if it does, presumably the average sale price is going to be much higher. Given the highest auction sold is near gold cap, I wonder if it’s partly from flipping TCG mounts - hopefully not connected to the duping fiasco many expansions ago!

Oh yeah good point actually. Im not sure if it tracks that either.

No idea. Not going to accuse anyone. Could have very easily been a buyout of an mythic BoE however. Corrupted BoEs come to mind as primary offenders.

That’s… not even close. In fact, it’s really low. Does this statistic count the time periods when I’ve been unsubbed?

Yes.

you accidentally found the paid boosters bank alt…

either that or gold seller…/ buyer

they use Auction house to transfer gold rather than the mail service…

they transfer gold using grey items.

I see you instantly bought the Long Boi upon hitting 5 Mill :joy:

Recently found out that BMAH players inspect eachother to see these statistics and kinda know if the person next to them has a chance on outbidding them or not :joy: Had no idea this information was available either.

But 5 million A DAY… is insane. I’m happy with 10k in a day
