Transmog Beta Updates - 25 November

Hello! I’ve got some quick updates on the development and design of the new Transmog features.

We’re also continuing to adjust pricing, including reductions to the cost to set outfits.

  • We’re planning to reduce the cost to save a full outfit by about 60%.
  • We will significantly reduce the cost to unlock slots.
    • As in the current public Beta, the unlock cost of outfit slots will increase depending on how many you have already unlocked.
    • The overall cost to unlock outfit slots will be reduced by about 80%.
  • We’re planning to increase the total number of outfit slots available, from 20 to 50.
    • We’ve seen a lot of feedback from players who feel that they need the extra flexibility of a lot of slots.

We expect most or all of the pricing updates to come with the next Beta build, currently expected to arrive on December 3. The warband-wide update will hit the Beta at a later date.

As always, thank you very much for your feedback!

It’s possible to hide almost all slots. Will it be possible to hide weapon and off-hand slots ? For example, if we want a more “casual’ look when we’re at home or in our neighbourood ?

This is a fantastic change, thank you for listening to us ^.^

Any chance on removing armour class restrictions? They’re hilariously (not funny) outdated and pointless, based on how many Cosmetic sets we have and how many NPCs don’t seem to obey them anyway…

Also, what happened to the promised “Transmog will be free” comment?

If we’re paying to unlock slots, why are we (still) paying for the items in them?

Housing is going to be a huge goldsink going forward, why do their need to be multiple, do the devs just assume everyone plays the market or grinds for profit every week?

Happy New Year!

Thanks to Legion Remix, many players have completed a large portion of their missing artifact weapon collection, which again raises an important question for Transmog in Midnight.

Is there any information about this?

The new system still doesn’t have this feature.

As a reminder:
In retail, artifact weapons could be used as the weapon category, which was the unique available transmogrification option.

It allowed you to transmog Legion artifacts from of the class/spec, regardless of whether the equipped weapon matched.

Unfortunately, the new system no longer supports this function.

It would be good to know what would happen to it. Before the Perpätsch arrives.

Whelp, the only comment that comes to my mind is: Blizz listens, good job.
